Guest guest
I've been hearing how good these things are, and we recently got some in at work...dried Goji berries. They were incredidbly expensive ($19.99 a pound!), so I just got a tiny bit to try....I LOVE them!! These are dried, and I adore dried fruits. Anyway, here are the benefits I found of eating Goji berries.... Goji Berries contain 18 amino acids (six times higher than bee pollen), more Beta Carotene than carrots, more iron than spinach, and 21 trace minerals. Goji Berries contain Vitamin B1, B2, B6, and Vitamin E (rarely found in fruits, only in grains and seeds). The Goji Berry contains 500 times more Vitamin C by weight than oranges! These berries are 13% protein, that's higher than whole wheat! This bright red berry also contains many complex compounds, and phytonutrients, which explains in part, the incredible health benefits being experienced by people today. The Goji Berry also contains extremely high levels of antioxidants. It is quite possibly the highest antioxidant food on earth. Sounds like it's a good thing for us to try! Guest guest
I've been eating goji berries for about two years now. I eat a small handful every day. In addition to what was said about them, they are excellent for detoxing, strengthening the immune system, regulating blood sugar, helping sleep, vision, longevity, rebuilding damaged cells, etc. You can find lots of goji berries on ebay. The company I consider the best, Shigatse Valley Organics, sells on ebay as well. They are not the absolute cheapest, but they are lab-tested and organic. There are goji berries out therew that have been grown in poor conditions and have traces of heavy metals, so try and find organic ones. Here's a link to the ones I buy: http://cgi.ebay.com/GOJI-BERRIES-3-POUNDS-JUNE-06-HARVEST-LAB-TESTED_W0QQitemZ270028118086QQihZ017QQcategoryZ11776QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem They cost $38.00 for three pound including shipping, about $12.50/pound. You really only need to eat a small handful every day, so three pounds dried berries will go a long way. And they are yummy!
