Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I'm Dan, 57, live in Wisconsin. Brrrrrr!!! PSA 5.4, Gleason 7, 12 of 12 cores positive. No evidence of spread outside the capsule. After reading lots of firsthand accounts in YANA, and lots of other research, I'm trying to make a decision between Proton Beam in Florida, or Tomotherapy here at the UW Hospital. When I look at all the treatments, it appears that surgery, brachytherapy, RT and Proton all have about the same " success " rates, and the big differences are side effects. With protons, there is the added bucks, and time away from home. While Florida does sound awfully attractive right now...8 weeks down there is a long time. So my decision is a mix of time/money/side effects factors. I need to talk with people who have had this advanced Tomotherapy...anyone out there? My best, Dan
