Guest guest
This is what we need to be reporting to MedWatch - Rogene ------------------------------------------ Can you recognize any of these symptoms? I think this is one of the things we need to make the FDA admit they know about. Someone should have been keeping a total record of what was sent in on the med-watch papers, count of each disease and disorder and they are not doing this!!!! AS most of have severe spine and shoulder degenerative disease. The children also have the same thing some have problems with there knees. I'm sharing your important questions with several friends in our support system ... I feel sure you will receive some excellent guidance. You are not alone. Ilena Rosenthal www.BreastImplantAwareness.org "tina" < vibrant126@...> Subject : 18 year-old implants Hello Ms. Rosenthal. I just watched a program on TV regarding the black Saline implants studied by Dr. Pierre Blais, then I looked up information on the internet. I received saline implants when I was 19 years old. I am now 37. 18 year old implants ! I was ignorant to any negative possibilities regarding my implants because I was young & naive when I got them & was not well educated about the matter. I believed the surgeon when he said it was safe & so did my parents. Nobody once told me about complications or the fact that they have a shelf-life. I have been having health problems that have been getting worse for the last couple of years. When a friend who also had implants not long ago asked me if I was scared about how long I had the same implants, the fear and concern finally struck. I am not doing well financially and here I find out that you actually have to pay to get the implants removed !I tried to get my GP to be concerned enough to help me with my concerns but she downplayed everything and she pretty well said that I should just wait until something serious actually happens if I can't afford to remove them. I have disc-degenerative disease, Osteo-Arthuritis and a herniated disc in my back, the pain is so bad that sometimes I can't get around & it exhausts me so much that I don't have energy for day-to-day things & it's getting worse. The Drs. take their time & send me to Xrays for my back, CT scan, & now I'm waiting for an MRI which I have to wait until December for. I get numbness and tingling in my feet & hands along with shooting pain from my right chest-right shoulder & down my arm. I'm getting less coherant and more confused, my memory & focus are flawed. So not only is it difficult to work doing any physical job because of pain, my mind is also affected. This is why I have little income. I've had to settle for low-level pay. I feel as if I'm just being left to get worse until I get so sick that they finally listen to me. I hope this isn't the case because if it is & I do get really sick, I just hope that I can get well again. I don't know what to do. I wish I had the money to remove these things. Do you know if there is a way that I can get help ? Should I contact Dr. Pierre Blais - is it possible to actually connect to him regarding a woman with an 18 year old pair of saline implants ? I guess I would make a good story. Thank-you for your time. Sincerely, Tina
