Guest guest
I"ve done various colon cleansing therapies. Most of the ones I have done involve fasting, so I am not sure about taking it with drugs....what happens is that the colon gets pretty cleaned out with lots of fiber and other "sweeping" supplements. I would think it would be okay, but you may want to contact the company that is making the product (if you are using one) or be supervised by a naturopath if you are doing this on your own. My first colon cleanses were supervised, but I found that it really wasn't necessary. It was pretty easy to do at home. Many colon cleanses just involved taking additional supplements, and I think did one. Perhaps she can let you know if she continued with her drugs. PattyGMCLADY98@... wrote: Has anyone done this ? Guest guest
What I'm wondering is if "colon" cleansing applies to just the colon . .. or if the intestines are included. When I had my colonscopy, I asked to see the photo . . . so she made a set for me . .. Based on those photos, there is no sign of any crud like the photos show. Are those phoso a worst case scenario? Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I got photos from my recent colonoscopy and I was extremely clean too. I'm wondering if these photos are from people who don't poop regularly. I can't imagine how one could be so full of " it " . The laxative I took for the scope totally emptied me out in little time, after fasting for part of a day. I had no pain or cramping with mine. > What I'm wondering is if " colon " cleansing applies to just the colon . .. or > if the intestines are included. > > When I had my colonscopy, I asked to see the photo . . . so she made a set > for me . .. Guest guest
I am assuming it is worst case scenario. However, on my first run with the product last year, for a week, I did have results similiar to those pictures. The second, time I did another run with the product was in April of this year, my results were nothing like my first run. I did do two straight months with the first run and one month with the second. I am assuming that my first run really cleaned me out, which is why my results were so different. I also think it does clean out the whole digestive tract, because the main cleaning agent is a fiber product that swells when added to water, which gently scours as it passes through. Guest guest
This is why I add fiber powder to my smoothies each morning, and that the fiber slows down the body's absorption of the smoothie. Guest guest
Sandy, My doctor explained about my big tummy that I didn't consider. I have a little of the "prego look". He said it can be the combination of a few things. Which in turn are all related to the implants in one or or another. First is toxic build up in the fat cells on the stomach, stress...causes an increase in cortisol (which stores fat in the stomach) and lack of exercise. He stated that my fibromyalgia pain and weakness causes poor posture and weakens the muscles not used often enough. (hence..the abs.) He suggested that I go to a physical therapist who specializes in Fibromyalgia to get some strengthening expercises to do at home. As you can see, all of these problems was caused by my implants. I hope this helps, Sandy Verticelli <dusty.com@...> wrote: Will colon cleanse help my belly go down, I hate this pregnant look No matter how healthy I eat, my belly will not go down.. Guest guest
Wow!! That makes a ton of sense! Even thin people can look prego if they don't have good core strength to hold their abdomen in. This can set you up for back trouble as well. Before I started training at the gym 8 years ago, my abs were extremely weak from 2 vertical c-sections. My doc told me that I'd never get my ab strength back -- and he was WRONG! I am thin but I did have a buldgy stomach, which is gone now. I have a herniated L5/S1 disc from my ab weakness. Since I have strengthened my back and abs, the pain is gone. Kenda > Sandy, > > My doctor explained about my big tummy that I didn't consider. I have a > little of the " prego look " . Guest guest
Who here mentioned cortisol? High levels of cortisol can make the tummy protrude.. And cortisol is associated with stress, and eating too much sugar, from what I understand. At one point, I tested for high cortisol level. But later I was tested again, and it was normal. Also, the kind of 'fat' that is centered around the abdomen is supposedly more dangerous... I don't recall what exactly that was all about. Maybe someone else remembers? > > Will colon cleanse help my belly go down, I hate this pregnant > > look > > No matter how healthy I eat, my belly will not go down.. > > This is crazy...I am so swollen all over > > > > Any suggestions this is so depressing, What has made our bellies like > > this > > > > I am trying to understand because this has put a damper on my health > > > > I had these two tests taken today > > > > 1. Guest guest
"Apple" shaped people are considered to be at greater risk because this fat is not in just a pad over the tummy, but goes into the abdominal cavity . . . crowding the organs. I have the fat "pad". When I grab the "pad", what is left underneath is stomach muscle. My hubby is apple shape . . . there's no way to just grab the fat. Guest guest
Abdominal fat is closest to the heart and is considered more dangerous. People with evenly distributed body fat are considered healthier than those with body fat that is centered around the abdomen. " Pear " shaped bodies are considered at greater risk for heart attack and stroke. Kenda > Who here mentioned cortisol? Guest guest
Ooops, you're right, Rogene, I just typed Pear-type people by accident -- it is Apple shaped people that are at greater risk. Hard fat is less healthy than softer fat. Hard fat is fat that has been on the body a long time and has solidified. Softer fat is in transition and can more easily be lost. Hard fat will transition into soft fat before it is lost by the body.
