Guest guest
Patty, Have you ever treated with a Gerson doc? It all makes sense! I do have a question about consuming so much juice -- doesn't it cause the blood sugar to spike because of all of the sugar in the juice? Do you eat a mostly vegetarian diet? I have been thinking about eating less meats. I have been reading up on dietary requirements for vegetarians. I couldn't switch totally over but I think it would be healthier to eat meat as a condiment, rather than a main dish. As it is, we only have read meat once every few weeks but I do serve chicken or fish most every night. Guest guest
I think I eat less and less meat as I get older, and when I buy meat, it is free range, without chemicals, hormones and additives. Deep ocean fish is good, free range chicken and turkey. I think we just don't need as much as we often have thought we did. I personally tried to be vegetarian, but it made me weak. I cannot use soy. And beans have never agreed with me. Lynda At 06:38 AM 9/14/2006, you wrote: >Patty, > >Have you ever treated with a Gerson doc? Guest guest
I buy organic and free range as well -- always. I buy my fish from Vital Choice because it is guaranteed to be mercury free and is caught in deep clean waters. I think being vegetarian would make me weak as well, but I'd like to concentrate on eating more vegetables. I can't eat soy either, it gives me terrible gas!! What blood type are you, Lynda? According to D'Adamo, we should eat right for our blood types. I'm an AB and shouldn't eat red meat. Guest guest
Hi Kenda, I have not been to a clinic that administers the Gerson therapy, but I have talked to Gerson-trained professionals on the phone, read all of Dr Gerson's books (every single one of them or those about Gerson) and talked to several patients who had done the Gerson therapy in clinics. One woman was a breast cancer survivor who did the Gerson therapy and then got a silicone gel implant! Blew my socks off! She claimed that she wasn't having any trouble from the implant, but she had healed from breast cancer after doing the therapy and continuing to do it at home. I myself bought all of the supplies needed to do the Gerson therapy at home. I did the 13 juices a day, used the Lugol's solution, the potassium salts, the liver injections, the coffee enemas, made the soup, etc. It was HARD. And it brought back my brain fog big time. It was so bad that I had to quit it. I have continued to apply the principles to my life though, and if I EVER got cancer, I would be doing the Gerson therapy in a heartbeat. I'd go to a clinic and have all of the monitoring professionally. One of the things that they told me was that there were certain conditions that required an extraordinary amount of dedication, and there were certain conditions that required extra caution. For instance, if you had chemotherapy, you could not do the Gerson therapy full blown or without supervision. It is because the therapy draws out the toxins so quickly that if you had chemotherapy, it would be like getting another dose of chemo and you would get all the side effects again. You have to be very slow and deliberate in drawing out chemotherapy toxins from the body. The other thing was that if you had MS, you would have to prepare yourself for healing for the long haul. This meant that healing was long, slow, and difficult, with exacerbations that would be worse to get through than the current symptoms you were experiencing. And the Gerson therapy is not a quick fix. It takes several years of therapy to achieve the final healing results. But if you had cancer, I think several years of healing for decades of additional life would be worth it, right? And he had numerous documented cases of people who were terminal--I mean, comatose and on their death beds, some even brought to him on stretchers--that he revived and went on to heal and they lived decades longer. It was amazing! The juices are mostly green ones, with a few carrot/apple thrown in. It was the green juices that made my brain fog the worst. So, no, the concern about the sugar content in the juice is moot. It's the nutrients that they were after, and the enzymes that broke down the tumors. The juices release the toxicity, the coffee enemas ensure the toxicity is removed from the body. They had a period where cancer patients were dying--they were all getting the juices and but only a few coffee enemas. What they discovered was happening was that the juices were breaking down the tumors at such a fantastic rate that they coffee enemas were not keeping up with the toxicity removal. Once they stepped up the coffee enemas, the patients stopped dying and went on to heal. It proves the validity of both the juices to break down tumors, and the coffee enema to release toxicity. I tried vegetarianism, and found that we need a little meat in our diet. My husband is a hunter, so we eat the venison that he brings home, and then supplement with fish and chicken. However, we do not eat meat every night or even every day. We have meat maybe 3-4 times a week. There are times when dinner is a salad and that's it. I agree with using meat as a condiment rather than the main dish completely! Patty Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote: Patty,Have you ever treated with a Gerson doc? I have been thinking about eating lessmeats. I have been reading up on dietary requirements for vegetarians. Icouldn't switch totally over but I think it would be healthier to eat meatas a condiment, rather than a main dish. As it is, we only have read meatonce every few weeks but I do serve chicken or fish most every night.Kenda> http://www.gerson.org/g_therapy/default.asp> > Throughout our lives our bodies are being filled with a variety of disease> and cancer causing pollutants. Guest guest
Hi Patty, Gerson's method really does make sense, thank you for explaining it to me! You're right, it does make sense for a cancer patient. I didn't quite understand why he was so big on coffee enemas but I can see that you don't want the toxins circulating back in your body. Best to get them out quickly. Kenda > Hi Kenda, > I have not been to a clinic that administers the Gerson therapy, but I have > talked to Gerson-trained professionals on the phone, read all of Dr Gerson's > books (every single one of them or those about Gerson) and talked to several > patients who had done the Gerson therapy in clinics.
