Guest guest
Dawn, Patty recently had a bad experience with a root canal . . . If she doesn't pick up on this, give her a holler! . .. I'm going to repost an article I found recently on root canals. Pulling the tooth may be your best option! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
, If you take antibiotics, be sure to take probiotics to offset their effect on the beneficial organisms in your body. I recently had to take a round of antibiotics because they removed a colon polup . . . I'm struggling with the effects of the antibiotics now. . . At least I've finally learned to recognize the problems so I can address them quickly. Rogene
Guest guest
Ugh, root canals. I just had my first experience with them in the past year, and it was educational, I'll say that. What I learned is that I cannot receive root canals without experiencing a decline in my health. It was pretty obvious. After I got my first root canals, things were never quite right as I had some burning pain in my gums that never resolved, but what was worse is that I began experiencing pain in my right knee that I had never had before. It got progressively worse to the point that I was limping if I had spent too much time on my computer with my leg in a bent position. Straightening it was painful. I also could no longer sit on my knees on the floor (and I have always been very flexible, being able to sit Indian style or just sitting on my knees on the floor, but that stopped quick.) It wasn't until I took the plunge and removed those root canals for good that my knees began to heal. They are now 95% better and I can sit on my knees again and do everything I used to do. That was all the proof I needed about how my body was reacting to the root canals. The only choice for me now is some kind of partial appliance to replace those teeth. I refuse to consider implants, because they are just so darned expensive and I can't see going through all that expense only to experience more knee pain and debilitation, when I can just get an appliance that I put in or take out at will. I feel much more comfortable with that. At this point, I don't have my appliance yet, as we are letting the extraction site heal. I am missing two lower left molars. I expect to go for a fitting for the appliance next month. Everyone reacts differently to root canals. Some people can handle them as their immune system is strong enough for it. Other people who have suffered illness prior to root canal placement probably won't do as well. I think there are alot of people on this planet suffering with arthritis and other problems that are dental related issues, but just don't know it. I mean, I have to admit, if someone had told me that my knee was hurting because of my root canals, and I had not already done the research or known about implant issues, I would have thought they were a bit crazy. But I've experienced it for myself, and all I can say is that for about a 6 month period after getting root canals, I saw my health begin to decline (the knee wasn't the ONLY thing...there were thyroid issues rearing again too.). Hope that helps. PattyDawnsusan <dawnsusan@...> wrote: Where and how do I find info on this?My surgery is next Friday. I woke up yesterday with really cruddy tooth pain. Went to dentist, she said I may need a root canal if she gets in there past my old mercury fillings and sees that I need it. Something in the back of my mind said, "WAIT WAIT Research it first." My dentist is very cool and didn't want to remove the filling and refill in case I needed a root canal. She didn't want to do it too close to surgery. (An aside -- I told her what surgery I was having and one of her co-workers is having the same problems and is having her salines out in August. I gave my number to her so she could call. I want to make sure she is getting them out safely.)Who has root canal problems, and what can you do instead of a root canal? If the answer is "pull the tooth" I'm all for it -- the tooth hurts and looks toxic and grey and nasty with mercury discoloring it. It's not abcessed. But replacing a missing tooth now requires implants, right? Also, the dentist gave me antibiotics. She said if things are infected up in there, it would help. I know antibiotics could mess up my yeast/bacteria balance, but is there any other reason to not take them? By this time next week, I will begin detoxing. I have a desire to go hard-core. I don't care if I herx with my drains still in! I want to start getting all the junk out. Thanks,Dawn Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min.
