Guest guest
Thanks Dr Kolb hasn't prescribed me anything yet, how will she do that before surgery ? I won't meet her till 2 days before.
Guest guest
There are no guarantees that you'll get better by choosing one doctor over another. I guess you have to determine what you're comfortable with, and determine if you're the type who can do the detoxing on your own without guidance. I know Dr. Kolb prescribes antibiotics for a number of weeks before and after surgery, along with antifungals, so you might have to see if she'd talk to your doctor in recommending those things, because it's possible that's something that's very helpful. Guest guest
. . . In terms of medical procedures, removing breast implants isn't all that complicated . . . What you're looking for is a doctor who takes your issues seriously and will remove your implants properly. The fact that you have more symptoms may, or may not, have any bearing on how long it will take you to recover. IMHO, the sooner you can get them out, the better. Guest guest
Sis, I agree. Everyone has different symptons and different situations they take into account in making the decision about a doctor. Even then there are no guarantees....the surgery itself is an unknown until after it is over!!! My decision is what I was comfortable with considering my dad's health, the needs of my family and my symptons. Plus I have an alternative medicine doctor who is an internist as my primary doctor. I am 2 days post explant and am doing well. I had a slight fever last night but Tylenol took care of that. I am on pain meds and antibiotics. I want to give my body a chance to heal from the surgery and go on from there.....based on any symptons that may be left. My brain fog has cleared, my skin rash looks like it is going away, my skin looks and feels more moist....etc. It is too early to see if the weight issue will change or if the joint paint has eased up....because after all I am on pain meds. I do not have the body odor under my right arm....and I had suspected that was from infectin or inflammatin. Heck, I haven't even put on deorderant and I don't have any odor !! LOL The mental stress of the decision and the waiting is gone....so of course that feels great too! That really was part of the worst in terms of anxiety for me. Aside from not being able to really sleep because of these drains.. (I am a stomach sleeper, I am thrilled about my explant. And I am actually beginning to get bored!!! My thanks to all you wonderful woman who helped me decide it was my implants after the 2 years of doctors and all the tests. I will be forever grateful. > > > > just had surgery 7/6/6 and she is doing great...Thank God ! > She use a > > Ps in Norfolk that took her saline implants out en bloc... > said he got > > all the capsule, she also said she really liked him a lot. Guest guest
I am so happy for you that your explant went well. Take good care of yourself and ease back into things. Guest guest
, Dr. Kolb will probably start you on antibiotics when you see her . . . but if you'll contact her, she'll explain what she plans to do. Rogene
Guest guest
, We'll all do everything we can to help you detox. You don't have to see Dr. Kolb to detox. Most women start feeling better after explant. I've only heard of a few who thought they felt worse . . . and they usually start reporting that they feel better soon after their explant. When it comes down to it, most of your success depends on you . . . We can suggest things that have worked for us - or tell you what hasn't worked. . . But you have to go from there. Even Dr. Kolb can't MAKE you well . . . she can only remove your implants and provide direction. Have you seen her silicone protocol? www.plastikos.com You can follow her protocol without ever seeing her . . . or you could see a naturopath, or follow Dr. Rubin's, Maker's Diet plan if you feel you need more guidance. For most women, getting on a healthy diet (like "The Maker's Diet") is the hardest part because that's day in and day out . . . It takes extra effort to find the right foods and to prepare them . . . All while craving the junk the yeasties scream for. . . The other things are done intermittently . . . You'll get the hang of it . . . everyone does! . . . After a while, it will be second nature to you. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
, I'd suggest talking to the surgeon and . . . then trust how you feel. Regardless, I know you'll do fine. Rogene

Guest guest
, There are all kinds of books available on detoxification therapies, as well as internet websites. You will have to do some reading to educate yourself about your body and how to detox it. I can suggest "7 Day Detox" by . There are dozens of them....Amazon will bring up lots of them if you just enter "detoxification". For starters, though, if you are overwhelmed and if you can afford it, you can go to a naturopathic doctor, or homeopathic doctor, or alternative medicine doctor in your area. There are resources available for finding them on the net, as well as your general yellow pages directory. Some of the links for finding alternative medicine doctors are here: http://www.acam.org/dr_search/ http://www.alternativesforhealing.com/cgi_bin/practitioner_home.php http://www.healthy.net/asp/templates/center.asp?centerid=53 Dentists: http://www.talkinternational.com/directories/dentists-global.html However, most doctors will set you up with supplements and other therapies that might cost you a bunch of money, so be prepared to spend more after your initial visit. What many of us have found is that there are many effective, cheap and safe therapies you can do at home in the comfort of your surroundings and at a pace that works for you. You can try what sounds easy, what sounds affordable or doable, or what piques your interest. Any detoxing that you can do, which helps your body to purge itself of stored toxins is going to be helpful in the long run. You may not feel great while you are doing it, due to the herxing effect, but in the long run, I think you will see gradual progress. That has been the experience of most of us here. That does not mean this is all you need. Detoxing is important, yes. But you may still need to address some other issues through a professional, such as hormonal imbalances, allergies or conditions which require paying attention to diet (which requires testing), and certain supplements to fight candida, or enzyme deficiencies, mineral imbalances or whatever. Detoxing is a supplement to everything else that you will need to address. Here is a list of a few ideas to help you plan a program of your own at home. I have done all of these myself, and find that they are both safe and effective: Fasting, including juice fasting, and The Master Cleanse Organic diet Raw milk Raw garlic Coffee enemas Juicing Colonics Infrared Sauna therapy Exercise, including pilates yoga or stretching Rebounding Liver flushes Ozone therapy (I bought my own cold plasma ozone generator) Skin brushing Prayer and Meditation Magnetic clay baths Hormonal support through supplements Parasite cleanse Glyconutrient supplements Homeopathics There might be a few others I have forgotten, but I think that is all of them. In addition, I have done other therapies through professionals, such as hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy, craniosacral therapy, removing amalgam fillings and root canals, IV's of hydrogen peroxide and Vit C, injections of B-12, and massage therapy. (which if you have someone at home to do it for you that is great!). I can't say that all my money was well spent, but at least I can say I have tried. I think the most important things I have done include fasting, and thyroid replacement therapy (which was found needed by a homeopathic doctor who was astute enough to test me), and of course, changing my diet completely to a natural and healthy one. I would also add coffee enemas and liver flushing to that list. , I hope this helps you. There is so much you can do. You may be overwhelmed by all the things I listed. Take them a little at a time, read about them, and decide what will work for you. You don't have to feel overwhelmed, but rather excited at all the opportunities for healing available to you in the comfort of your own home.
