Guest guest
Hi, My name is and I don't have pls, but my mother in law does. She was finally dx after almost four years of tests, multiple md visits in three different states. She does not have access to email, so I am asking questions for her as well as myself. She is researching as much as she can on the disorder, but again everything is by phone of snail mail. I have some concerns as well because my sister in law, her daughter, who is 35 has ms. She was dx about 15 years ago and so far has had only a few relapses. My mother in law and sister in law both are still able to function almost fully at this time, but my mother in law is not able to move like she once did, which I know is an obvious symptom. One of my concerns is this, a few years ago, I was told that the ms was not heriditary, but now with two family members dx with a neuromuscular disorder, I am again wondering if it is. I have two sons and wonder if this is something that genetically can be detected before it develops. My md cannot give me a really clear answer or not. He says, " I really don't know at this time. " Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Beretta
