Guest guest
Just signed on to your chat room today although I was diagnosed with this lousey disease back in the 70's......talk about slow progression !!!! My interest is in those of you who own, or are in the market for motorized scooters. I presently have AFO's on both legs, use canadian crutches and/or a 4-wheel walker most of the time. I've been inquiring about scooters, but find very few specific comparisons from the brochures and advertisments put out by the manufacturers. I also wrote to Consumer Report Magazine to see if they would be interested in doing one of their comparison studies but no luck.....they say that the market is just not big enough to warrant a study on this type of equipment. I find that hard to believe. My prime concern for obtaining a scooter such as this is two-fold; (1) to have a means to transport myself and all my garden tools around the yard without having to make 10 trips with my walker, and (2) to be able to accompany my wife in her daily walks as she had by-pass surgery and needs the excercise. Any suggestions on what's the best make would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing about how all you other PLSers are managing your every day lives.
