Guest guest
Has anyone ever thought of, or done, any kind of method of flushing while in the middle of a GB pain attack? _______________ Hi, Barry, Yes, I haven't done flushing while having an attack, but I've heard of some others who did. I will tell you once that I was having an attack and drank some ES. It didn't take long for the pain to ease. I don't know, though, if that would work all the time. Guest guest
Well here's an opinion I probably would not do a cleanse in the middle of an attack, because my body feels pretty vulnerable, and I like fasting for a day before a cleanse. So there's that. When I feel an attack coming on, and I'm getting to the point where I sense it pretty early, these are the things I do: 1) Go for a walk down the block and back. For some reason, walking around a bit seems to jostle things up a bit, and loosen up any impending stone block. 2) Bend, stretch, and pay close attention to my body. The bending and stretching sometimes moves the stone too, and the pain subsides. 3) If I can tell nothing will help, and the attack is coming - Castor oil. 2 tablespoons orally. This has stopped every attack I've taken it with, within 15 minutes of taking it (at least 6-8 attacks). The laxative seems to push out the offending food and subside the need for bile to be secreted. Also, if a meal is in the least marginal (like - it has eggs or butter, cheese, etc), I take 2 fiber pills, and 2-3 capsules of granulated lecithin (I buy the lecithin, and put it into large gelatin capsules). Lecithin emulsifies/breaks down fat. When I start to feel the twinges of an attack a few times in one week, then I know I need to set aside a day or two for Hulda 's liver cleanse soon. I've done 7 of these flushes and they do help quite a bit. I'm due for a cleanse actually. I used to take flaxseed oil, however it does have strong estrogenic type effects, and as such is sometimes not recommended for the liver. I'm also taking birth control pills - which the informational doc that comes with them even states - actually cause gallstones. I " m considering quitting these, however would need to make a few lifestyle changes to accomodate that. I do take Milk Thistle also. So there's that! I have not had a severe attack since August of last year, mostly due to becoming more tuned in, and coming up with the actions I've listed above. Hope this helps! pomagranate@... > Has anyone ever thought of, or done, any kind of method of flushing > while in the middle of a GB pain attack? > > The reason for this question is because I have been thinking about > this for some time. Guest guest
I want to get that 1cm, calcified, GB 'problem' stone out while it is pushing to get through the duct anyway. I want to help it when it's ready to come out. (Sounds like I want to have a baby. haha). >> _______________ Oh, Barry, we're all funny tonight, huh? That's it, get that " baby " stone[a monster] out! Maybe it feels like you're having a baby somewhere, I suppose. Susie
Guest guest
want to get a big (or I should say a calcified, harder to extract, GB stone measuring 1cm) stone out of the mouth of the GB because I know that when it is there after a fatty meal, this is the cause of my pain. Think it can be done? _________________ Barry, I now you're asking Kathy, but I personally think that it can be done. This is my opinion. I think, though, why not go ahead and do the whole cleanse so it pushes out other junk after it? Susie
Guest guest
I've done the whole cleanse three time. Can I do the whole cleanse in only the 3 hours of pain without fasting the whole day, etc, etc? I can't do the whole cleanse in only the 2-3 hours of intense pain. Or how? >> _________________ Hi, Barry, Oh, I hate to tell you something wrong for YOU. I've had emergencies where I've had to take ES because of a GB attack. My pains went away. I do know this much, if you're doing a cleanse, it sure helps to do your fast beforehand. And I know from my own experience that it helps to have 1 quart of organic apple juice per day beforehand for 5 days. So I think it's possible to do a mini-cleanse, unless, of course, you've eaten a whole bunch of food. Otherwise, I think you could get sick at your stomach. You may pass stones, but you may also get quite ill--like hurling!!! Susie P.S. My experience is it's good to have that apple juice for several days. Guest guest
Thanks , I've also found ways to relieve the pain while going through a GB attack but the question wasn't quite that. Wouldn't you like to finally get rid of that one big calcified GB stone that is causing the pain and hasn't come out after several flushes? So, the question is more that instead of flushing just liver stones and not getting the GB 'problem stone' while it is 'hiding in the closet' would it be better to conquer the stone while it was in the mouth of the duct, trying to get out, and causing the pain? Seems like a logical time to move that problem stone out. So, I was wondering if that would be a good time to do some kind of mini flush, and what kind of results that would possibly have? Thanks, Anyone? Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Thank you for that info. Do you think doing that 'mini'flush' only relieved your current pain or was it successful in removing a big GB stone in mouth of the GB? I want to get that 1cm, calcified, GB 'problem' stone out while it is pushing to get through the duct anyway. I want to help it when it's ready to come out. (Sounds like I want to have a baby. haha). Guest guest
Hi Barry, It didn't produce any stones or even diarrhea, however, my pain was competely releived and my BM the next day totally floated. There was no oil floating on the water, I guess it was just absorbed and the body used it to my benefit. Kathy B ===================== Thank you for that info. Guest guest
Thanks Kathy, Sounds like that little mini-flush cleared you of sludge that may have been in your ducts and causing the pain. Can I do the whole cleanse in only the 3 hours of pain without fasting the whole day, etc, etc? I can't do the whole cleanse in only the 2-3 hours of intense pain. Or how? And yes, I feel like I'm having baby pains sometimes. hahaha They say a man having a GB attack is very similar to a woman having contractions. I think not. haha Barry. > want to get a big (or I should say a calcified, harder to extract, > GB stone measuring 1cm) stone out of the mouth of the GB because I > know that when it is there after a fatty meal, this is the cause of > my pain.
