Guest guest
I've been away for a few days and missed out on a few posts. It felt strange not to have a computer in Edmonton, when I was at my Mom's. Probably needed the rest, though. Welcome and love to anyone new and continuing love and support to everyone. I have a final interview for a job on Tuesday, Jan. 2 in the a.m. It's a position being a Lunch Program Co-ordinator at the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen here in Red Deer. They provide 140 lunches a day for children who's parents cannot afford lunches, or just forget, due to illness, etc. It's right up my alley. It'll be PT - Mon. - Fri. 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The couple that runs it sing also, so that's inspiration for me to join in. The last hour of work I just sit and have lunch and minister to needy folks. Oh, it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!! LOL Sunny the Clown is coming out to play also. Children's birthday parties and Sunday School. Also, my goal is to put on 1 -2 workshops a month for adults on Healing with Humor. God sure is making me grow lately!! I'm going to continue respite care with Emma, just not so many hours. She definitely is my buddy for life! (daughter-in- law) is going to tell Children's Handicapped Services that she does not want another respite worker - they are only offering 5 hrs. a week with the new contract. Not near enough. She's going to tell them I will continue for free!! Yay! I'm so glad God worked things out for us. I do love working with her. She's such an angel. Also, helps form my spiritual character immensely!! Patience, Granny! LOL I was put through the ultimate test. My car is now officially off the road - engine problems. So I'm sharing my son's mini-van with the family. It means longer days for me, as I have to drive him to work first, then do my business, and pick up children from school, etc. Oh, well....my friend just got a mini-van given to her by someone in her church. We're still praying for my vehicle miracle!! Reflecting on 2006, the best thing that happened to me hands down, was finding this loving site, and being explanted. Now I have a chance for life, not just existing. A very happy, joyous, and peaceful New Year to all of you and your loved ones, Love, Sunny xo

Guest guest
Thanks, Sis! Yes, our health is improving day by day. I am believing for a full recovery! I got a part-time job at Loaves and Fishes - a Drop In Centre/Soup Kitchen. I will be Co-ordinator for a Lunch Program for needy children, about 140 lunches go out to the schools in Red Deer everyday. Right up my alley. God always puts me in a postion that has children to serve. Love it! Also, my son & wife are going to speak with Emma's Children's Handicapped Services worker and get a letter of support from her geneticist, so I can continue being her respite worker. After 2 yrs. they said I can't do it anymore. Hmmmmm....sounds like government logic, doesn't it?? I'll continue to be her buddy no matter what. It would be nice to get paid for a few hours a week, then my income would be sufficient. The new contract for respite cut the hours from 30 a week to 5. That definitely does not work for (my daughter- in-law). Emma is like 5 or 6 children at once, when she's around her siblings and over-stimulated. Alone, with Grandma she's pretty calm and SO loving. If you haven't seen it, go to Rubinstein-Taybi.org and click on Our Pages - look at Emma Dade. Her story is there. She's a joy in my life. Also, 2 other grandchildren are special needs, with a kidney disease, and with mild Tourettes. Pray for us!! is a miracle child -9 to 10 procedures and surgeries, and still going strong at 6 yrs. old. The doctors said he wouldn't be born, and then said he wouldn't live 'til 2! Well, well.....that's what you get for playing God!! lol All the grandchildren kept me going through the last few years before surgery. Wow! So nice to look forward to a new life without explants! So grateful to HAVE a life and improving health! Love to you and thanks for all your kindness, Sunny xo > > > > I've been away for a few days and missed out on a few posts.
