Guest guest
Dawn: I'm glad you can laugh about it. Most of us have had a similar experience with doctors. Right before I was explanted, so sick I could hardly get out of bed, I had to pick up my records for my previous explant from the surgeon who took out my silicone implants 6 years before. I got lost going to and from his office (my memory was so bad at this point). They made me fill out a form asking when I got sick (which I interpreted to mean that many of his patients were getting sick). This guy had only explanted me, but I was shocked and sickened when I read through my records as there were all these references to questions his assistant had asked me about my personal life (which I thought was odd at the time), things like my son and second husband not getting along, but all skewed so it made me look like a nut. Trying to cover their butts in case I later tried to sue them? I couldn't believe it, and it made me start feeling like maybe I was nuts after all. At this time, I was also being treated like a nut by my regular doctor (after I finally concluded it must be my implants) and an emergency room doctor had treated me like one a few days before. I made a vow after this experience that I would pay close attention to how a new doctor would react to my implant story. If they acted negatively, I would opt not to use them. Luckily the two doctors I've seen since were very interested and sympathetic, and I think I've educated them enough to where they'd be of help to any new women they see with implants and strange symptoms, and they both have Dr. Kolb's name in their records. Hopefully your new doctor will be better. Katesedwards41255 <sedwards41255@...> wrote: Thank goodness you are switching to a new doctor. Perhaps you can find one that has training in alternative medicine. I have one like that....one who uses both traditional medicine as well as has an alternative medicine approach. She is wonderful and so supportive. I hope you find someone good Dawn. >> I went and picked up my medical records from my doc's office.
