Also dimithicone, simithicone...found in most gastrointestinal meds and so on... are different names for silicon(E) containing agents.I don't remember anything about silicate in foods, although it maybe in the preservatives that they coat the fruits and veggies with, as well as other things. The outer coating of the fruits and veggies contain silica. That's what I was trying to avoid. For example, lettuce can not be peeled, broccoli can't be peeled. Peas come in a pod and corn is shucked. As I said my children can eat most fruits and veggies now although some times I do wonder if it is what causes them to get really tired and or cranking. Once their immune system's calmed down and their health improved I began to reintroduce small amounts of the unpeel able fruits and veggies.Do as much research as you can. The internet has a wealth of information if you just look in the right place. Lana
