Guest guest
Hi Laurie, So happy to hear about your wonderful day. Sounds just about perfect to me!!!!! Gosh, the difference in you in just a week or two is amazing. I can tell by the way you write that you are feeling better. There is so much suffering with all of us here, that I rejoice when someone gets to feel really good and encouraged about the path they are on. You have a whole new outlook because you have finally been treated like a human being and someone is trying to help your pain. Your letters encourage me. Thanks for being here. Love, Donna What a great birthday! Today was just fantastic! My husband went and got me donuts for my birthday breakfast. Yum!We built a fire and my mom, sister, and niece came over. We had lunch together, had cake and punch, and I got wonderful presents that I just love. But, the best present of all was having my family with me.I wanted to start making Christmas ornaments. My Granny made Christmas ornaments (probably hundreds) before she died and they have been passed down through the family. We just treasure them. I would like to start doing that, too. So, my mom got me started with a kit that makes 2 ornaments. I sat this evening and made both of them. They are gorgeous and now I know why my Granny loved making them so much. I have definitely found a new passion and hobby!I also sent off my request for my rheumy records to be sent to my new rheumy. And, I called my insurance company and filed a complaint about the "old" rheumy. Even the rep I spoke with couldn't believe he treated me that way. She said it will definitely be investigated and they will be calling me and they will also be in contact with him. Good! Maybe if enough people do that he will think twice before he treats his patients like cattle instead of human beings. My husband and I roasted hot dogs over the fire for my birthday dinner (it doesn't take much to please me)! :)We watched TV and snuggled on the couch with our cat and had our gorgeous Christmas tree all lit up.It was just an absolute perfect day!I'm feeling some pain again, so I took a Vicodin at bedtime just now and tomorrow I will call my neurologist to see what I should do about the patch and when the dosage should be upped. I think they like to have the pain controlled by the patch and avoid the Vicodin. Hope you all are doing well. I love you all and thanks once again for all the warm birthday wishes. Guest guest
Laurie, I just loved reading about your birthday! It just did my heart good to hear someone have a great day, and may all of your birthdays in the future be that great! My sister Carla and I make ceramic ornaments and paint them, so I know what you mean about it being so much fun! a
