Guest guest
I didn't wear a bra for one week I stayed home too lol I didn't want o knock someone's head off *giggle * Baths as soon as you are healed and drain ports are healed . someone told me to add 2 teaspoons of vanilla or chocolate sugar free pudding in and mix Post Op questions(LONG) Thought I would start a new thread of Post Op questions. This will help the Pre-ops as well. I have a few myself so maybe someone can answer mine. I'm 3 wks post op and seem to have a prob wearing a Bra. Is this normal?. I had Open so the inscion is real close the wear the bra is, doesnt rest on it but right above it. I find afterabout a hour I am hurting and need to get it off. If this is normal then when can you comfortably wear one? Also when can you take a bath, where you can just sit and soak for a while, inscion wet the whole time. I miss my baths, I have a HUGE tub and love to relax in it!!! And one more, What can you do to make the shakes more TASTY!!! I have some idea's but thought maybe other people have some as well that can help the pre-ops or recent post-ops that have a hard time with them, like myself. I use sugar-free fudgesicles in the Choc ones and frozen fruit (no sugar added) for the Vanilla ones. Someone else here suggested sugar free Tang in the Vanilla, I will try that and see if it works. Any other Ideas??? If anyone else has any question to throw out there for recent post- ops LET " S HERE THEM!! and pre-ops that have questions about right after SX. Oaky I think this is long enough!!! Guest guest
I drink with straws.... never caused me a gas problem. The protein itself seems to sometimes increase gas, but in due time, the gas does get better as your body adjusts to protein. Guest guest
OK, you guys are all firsts for me. I get last gas with a straw. Maybe because I " sort " the air? Thanks, http://www.vitalady.com For info on PayPal, click this link: https://secure.paypal.com/affil/pal=vitalady%40bigfoot.com Re: Re: Post Op questions(LONG) In a message dated 5/1/02 12:55:27 PM Central Daylight Time, midnightx1@... writes: > another question i have is about straws. i use a straw to drink my > shakes, but i read somewhere that this causes gas. is this true? > Well, so my surgeon told me as well no straws.. So I never used them then and now. I did have a gentleman write me the other day his wife is 2 weeks post op experiencing lots of gas, bloating, nausea.. After a few do's and don'ts .......this being one.. She has had no more problems and even called her surgeon to ask him what he had not told her these things.. Guest guest
In regards to the bra question, I don't know what a " sleep " bra is, but I bought a couple of sports bras from the Lane catalog that I've been wearing to bed. I normally wear a 48DD. I bought the sports bras in a 52, and they are very comfortable for sleeping in. Maybe these would work post-op? I'm hoping they will, cause that's what I have. :-) Jeanne in WI Age 38 Open RNY 05/21/2002 314/ /150-175 5' 8 " djgraves@...
