Guest guest
> Viv I agree with Kirstie you are probably not eating enough. I have learned to ignore the scale except for tuesday mornings, that's the only weight I count. My husband and I are keeping track on a tracking sheet and the only number that goes on that sheet is tuesday morning weigh in. I admit I step on my scale much more often than that but no matter what it does, up, down, nothing I try not to let it effect anything about my WOE. Each tuesday since I've been on this WOE I have lost, sometimes only 1 lb sometimes 3. But a loss is a loss, those ups and downs during the week don't count for me only the one day at the same time wearing the same pjs, and I've never seen purple on the ketostix, lucky to see pink on occasion. Since starting this I've lost 34 lbs and my husband has lost 63 so hang in there and don't be too hard on yourself, you're doing great Debos
Guest guest
Hi Viv -- Only questions I might ask is about the salad dressing -- are you counting the carbs in that ? The fact that your ketostix are turning darkpurple is a great sign (I hope this means you are testing at relatively the same time each day and taking a 'general' look at this rather than one of absolute value.) Are you hungry or having cravings ?? If not, then this is a pretty good sign that the WOE (way of eating) is working for you. You won't have a loss ever day....it's more important to look at how you do OVER TIME -- relax, breathe, and drink water --- walk a little if you are up to excerise, maybe do a little more than walk..... but all in all, I'd say you are in great shape ! I am making an effort to try some new things today - I got some macadamia nuts and ate 1 oz., it was the first time I'd ever tasted them and I really like them (in fact, I think I could learn to love them!) I'm also making some sugar-free Jello so that I can whip some cream and eat a little with that. Before my appetite went down to zero I was eating protein and fat at every meal and I was losing GREAT. So I definitely think you guys are right about me not eating enough. I have learned to ignore the scale except for tuesday mornings, that's the only weight I count. I admire your restraint! I have resolved as of today to keep OFF the scale except for Saturday mornings. Hope I can stick to that! Congrats to you both!! so hang in there and don't be too hard on yourself, you're doing great Debos Thank you so much for the advice and encouragement - I never, never, never want to go back to eating the old way every again, no matter what the scale says - so I'm keeping off it til Saturday! Hanging in there, Viv
