I've known since Monday that the insurance was approved; I've been waiting for the office staff to get the OR date. At the last support group, I knew the doctor was booking for the end of June and early July; so I was wondering when my date would be. I thought mid-July or later. I am thrilled. I've wanted to TELL you, but had to wait for the info~now I can scream it off the roof-tops! For those that joined lately briefly here's my journey: Jan 22- PCP 2 days later received following dates and told to contact dietician for further info. During that phone call I mentioned I'd come in for any cancellations if they kept a wait list. I live less than a mile from their office; many people travel 50+ miles to this area for services so I've gotten in the habit to ask if a wait list is kept. Luck paid off! Mar 25- Nutrition Consultation and briefing @ surgery April 17- Meet my surgeon My nutrition consultation was moved up to March 8th~ a very snowy day! However, the date with Dr. Clough remained firm. He was on vacation from 3/15 to 4/15. Paperwork Faxed to insurance 4-18 and I received letter in the mail on the 29th. Today my doctor's staff phoned with the dates, etc. I'll receive the same by mail, but the staff knows wls people like getting calls and they like to call us! I've attended local support group monthly meetings Feb ( with Friend ), Mar and Apr my husband attended with us!
