Guest guest
Joanne - I'm in absolute agreement on sticking to proper diet to get candida problems under control - been there, done that. I am an advocate of 'controlled cheating', but the key there is control --- you have to learn when to be strict, and when to allow yourself a bit of leeway to enjoy something that's not normally part of your healthy eating plan. The when, what and how much varies with the individual and what stage of healing, and what you're healing from. I gave up the worst of my bad food habits in stages because I wanted the changes to stick, and for that to happen, my tastes had to change. For example, I never craved cola when I gave it up for good because I cut back slowly and replaced it with a healthier sweet taste in the form of a fruit juice, and then that alternated with water, then upped the percentage of water, and now I drink a lot of water, a specific amount of herbal tea for theraputic purposes, and a glass of raw milk or two most days -- again, for the therapeutic value, and also because it tastes really good. As for the rest - food's so complicated, and the question of 'right' and 'best' is especially complicated - I'll share my understanding when I can if I think of details that might help some way. Guest guest
You are so lucky to be able to get raw milk! I nedd a good cow and a lot of grass. Bet I'd have a lot of friends here in Abq. ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Sunday, January 15, 2012 8:34 PM Subject: RE: A couple specifics about real foods  Joanne - I'm in absolute agreement on sticking to proper diet to get candida problems under control - been there, done that.
