A couple more thoughts to add here: Curcuma longa (curcumin) supposedly

helps break down stones. In a study with rats some had a decrease of 40

percent in the volume of their stones. I take it in the form of the spice,

but you can purchase curcumin in pill form. Chang also suggest the

use of this along with GCG to get rid of stones instead of flushing. You

can take it for a year. I believe she told me that the GCG gives the GB

energy, it doesn't actually break down the stones. But make sure with her

about that statement first.

I have Murray's Natural Medicine book and it states in there that

it is thought that food allergies play a role in gallbladder attacks. That

when an allergen is ingested it causes the bile ducts to swell causing

impairment of bile flow from the gb. I never had an actual attack that I

know of but when I first noticed I had pain it was after eating my mom's

homemade bread, fresh of course. I recently found out I am allergic to

yeast through a blood test. I didn't do a rotation diet but had a blood

test to test 90 different foods for sensitivity.

Just a side note that I thought was interesting, on the Discovery Channel (i

think) they had a program on the pharaohs and said that they also suffered

from gallstones.Hmm.....
