Guest guest
Hi Maritza, Welcome to our support group, where you will find friends who have been through the many kinds of symptoms you are experiencing. You are not alone and I am glad you found us, although I am so sorry that you are going through this difficult period in your life. I wish you didn't need to find us in the first place. But we are here to help. Implants cause some women to become very ill, and although we don't know all the reasons why, we do know that women are getting better slowly after implant removal. By the way, what kind of implants do you have--saline? (I am assuming, but some women have gotten gel implants anyway, so I wanted to make sure). It sounds like your best options right now are to pursue removal of the implants. Most doctors are going to look everywhere else for something wrong with you, but will totally neglect the implants, when in fact it very well is the implants. We know through our own experiences that implants are causing all of this havoc in our bodies. Without making the decision to get rid of them, you are destined to be sick for a long time to come, and will only get worse as you ride this medical merry go round from hell. I am not sure that a mammogram is going to do you any good, and in fact, with the implants still in, could cause even more trouble as the pressure is applied to the breast. I would not pursue any more doctor appointments, except for implant removal. Most doctors don't know anything other than prescribing pills, pills and more pills, but these will only add to the toxic burden already stressing your organs. Florida has alot of doctors available to possibly do an explant. You need to come to terms with the need to do this surgery, weighing all your options but as soon as you can, you should begin looking for the correct surgeon to do your explant. It will have to be done properly...meaning a total capsulectomy. You will have to be firm with your doctor and let them know that you know what you want and are not a dummy about this. They will try to tell you things like you won't be happy with your implants gone, you will be so depressed or deformed, and many other things to try to convince you to keep the implants. But if you want your health back, you need to get them out and that is the best thing you could do for yourself. Please look at our list of Florida surgeons. This will get you started. Guest guest
Dear Maritza, You are the calm in the midst of the storm. Stay focused on what you must have done to take care of your health--have the implants and capsules removed. Don't let anyone persuade you that you are merely 'nervous' and emotional, and that you don't know what is going on inside your own body. Your experience with your doctor... > he would not believe what I was telling him, he just came out and said > to me he had never heard of saline implants making woman sick is what I would expect from most doctors out there. Most of them have banded together to try to deny that harm has been done to women by doctors putting silicone/saline breast implants in hundreds of thousands of women all over the world. > I just hope my ! breast wont be that saggy, as i can't afford to get > a t-lift for now Don't worry about that now. Time is a great healer. I had mine out when I was 53, 12 years ago, after 25 years of having them. My breasts were fine after surgery; now that I'm 65 and have lost the weight I gained when I became ill, I have a little sag. So...that's normal! I'm an older woman now. I assure you I look just fine...and I'm fussy! :-) Are you scheduled for surgery yet? Courage. You're doing something for your health. And health is what matters.
