Prayer for Strength!

Sandy, I am praying for you, that's for sure! Chilren have this

uncanny way of being angry at us when we're weak and acting out

terribly...I went through some of this with my boys when I went into

recovery from drug and alcohol addiction...years ago. Everyone

wanted me well, and then when I took the steps to get well, they all

freaked out!! Cuz they had to change too, I guess it was scary.

Anyway, I hope you get your strength back and can be assertive with

tough love. A little while back I had to do this with my 88 yr. old

Mom...She was guilting me all the time and I would react instead of

respond...it was like a trap. Our phone calls would end in chaos.

Finally, someone at church that was praying for me after service

advised me to " discipline " her like a child. So I did. It worked!

We're closer than ever now. Who knew??? lol After we talked about

it, I found out she felt lonely and angry at us, the family. I have

invited her to live closer to me, but she wants to stay in the house

she's lived in for 40 yrs. Can blame her for that.

I pray you will get the strength to demand the respect you deserve!
