,

2 and 1/2 months after explant I would now rate my pain at a 2. Only my frozen shoulder hurts, my thumbs a little and that's pretty much it. Before explant a 10 for me with head, neck, shoulder and arm pain constantlyplus my fibro was MUCH worse.

You'll be a new woman soon!!!

Love,

Penni

AFTER EXPLANT

Penni, thanks so much for the encouraging words!! I have the pre-

surgery tummy butterflies - mostly excitement, but a little scared of

what will be found when he opens me up. My lymph nodes have been

hurting under my armpits for quite awhile. Well, God is definitely

taking care of me and will have His hand on the PS's hands when he's

operating. I'm very happy that your pain level is that low. I will

have faith that will happen for me, too.

Love you lots,

Sunny :)

Thanks so much, . I am seldom anxious about surgery, but this one

has me jittery for some reason. 20 yrs. is a long time to put up with

these toxic water balloons!! Have you had explantation?

Sunny, I am 44 I had my implants 20 years as well. I had mine removed last August it has been almost a year Yea!!!! I feel alot better almost right away I had more energy and the pain in hips and tailboe as well as fibro was more manageable. I was so scared because I had them so long and had capsular contraction . My breasts are full again and I am very glad I stayed strong and went with my gut that they were the cause for all the sickness. Good luck you will be great I am sure, Love and hugs,Terri P. Terri, that is SOOOO encouraging to hear! I am 5 sleeps away from my

surgery and a little nervous, but really looking forward to getting

my health back. I am 58 yrs. old and have 4 grandchildren that are

waiting to get their ole granny back...the one that could get down on

the floor and have a good wrestle with them. The one that could go

skating and sledding with them.

Hawaii...mmmmh....that would be nice right now. Mind you, in little

old Red Deer, Alberta, Canada it's really hot tonight, still 26

degress C outside at 1 a.m. I remember being in Maui a few years

ago and walking around at 3 a.m. and it was 30 degrees C = I'm not

sure in Fahrenheit = I'm guessing 80 plus. Unbelievably beautiful.

The ocean was spectacular.

Thanks again for your support!

Love & Healing,

Sunny :)

Donna, I really appreciate your loving support...it's 2:30 a.m. my

time and I'm wide awake. Oh, well, after my anaesthetic at l0 a.m.

I'll be sleeping for awhile! Feeling thirsty too...can only rinse my

mouth out with water and spit. I'm a bit anxious, although I feel

pretty faithful about things turning out. My biggest concern is that

Dr. Furness takes out all the garbage. He said he would take out as

much as possible without making me bleed overly. It's this trust

thing....you know. I am submitting a letter to the Administrator of

the hospital and my PS in the a.m. regarding retrieving my implants

from Pathology in a few days. They agreed to release them. I don't

have the $$$ for Dr. Blais to analyse, but I'll send them anyway and

have faith that when the time comes, I will have the finances.

I took in that Big Hug! Felt good!

Love & Healing Prayers,

Sunny :)

Who is Sunny's surgeon?

Sunny, if you are reading this, forgive me for not addressing you. I am

thinking you could be gone.

If you get this - I 'll be praying for you for tomorrow!

Dawn, my surgeon's name is Dr. Furness. I live in Red Deer, Alberta,

Canada. He's kinda egotistical (many docs are, though) but very exact

and meticulous. My surgery was a great success! It's 1l:32 p.m. my

time and I'm at my son's apartment watching movies and munching out!

Thanks for your prayers & thoughts of me,

Love, love,

Sunny :)

  • 1 month later...

I know it all differs from patient to patient but how soon after explant did you ladies start to drive and do light cleaning around the house ? I'm probably having a lift too. Maybe a T lift.

I was able to get around the day after explant and make something to eat for myself and clean up a bit. My mom came to help me though. Hubby decided to take time off from household chores and caring for our son while my mom was here. UGH!!! How lazy. I also started driving about 4 days after eventhough my doc said to wait 7 days. I couldn't take my mom's driving anymore. God bless her ... she is an AWFUL driver. Good luck and I Pray for your quick recovery GMCLADY98@... wrote: I know it all differs from patient to patient but how soon after explant did you ladies start to drive and do light cleaning around the house ? I may be unusual, but I was driving in a few days, and cooking my meals, etc.
