Guest guest
I called the audiologist today to see if we could give a deposit and still keep our appt for getting AJ's aids today. I have an aunt who would donate to the cause and so would my brother. The program from the state, says they either pay all or none of the cost. So if we could lessen their burden, that would null and void our application for aid. How ridiculous. Just because I came up with $500 doesn't mean I could come up with $5000. So frustrating. What is the program from the state? Is it Medicaid? If so I was told the same thing but after two years finally found the person who agreed to contribute partial payment. It is possible, you need to find the right person who is willing to stretch the rules a bit. Barb

Guest guest
Heidi, Sounds like your doc was scared because she screwed up and knew it. Very potential malpractice here. As a nurse, I've seen this type of behavior in several doctors when they know they missed something really big. Generally it's designed to intimidate you so that you wouldn't even think of pursuing legal action. In most people it works beautifully. Cudos to you for standing up for yourself and pressing her to explain herself and her potentially life threatening error! Great job! Am so glad you're now on your way to new health. Good luck! Guest guest
I would in no way continue to see a doctor that literally assaulted me, and when that chart came flying at me, I would have had to have reacted in a physical way. The so-called doc would not have gotten away with that one, even if I didn't mean to do it. It would be an automatic reaction, since I came out of a physically abusive marriage a lightyear or so ago.
