Guest guest
Hi everybody.. I had a VEEP and a BAER test done yesterday.. When I want into the neuro's office I was fine.. didnt' have any symptoms except my normal mild pain on the bottom of my feet. Did the tests (one involved staring at a checkerboard on a compter screen as the checkerboard moved, other was sounds in one ear at a time) When I left the neuro's office, my partner noticed I was off balance a little. By the time we got home, I was stuttering, dizzy, and *really* off balance. We called the neuro just to inform.. he sent me to the ER for a CT scan.. (normal.. of course).. all symptoms cleared up before midnight last night. Today..my legs hurt .. feels like I overworked the muscles, the bottom of my feet hurt so much that it's really difficult to walk, and every muscle in my body is sore.. plus, my vision keeps wigging out on me.. blurry for a while, then clear... then blurry again... The leg pain and heaviness is new as of today... do you think the neuro tests could have encouraged a flare up? I'm prety conviced that the tests caused my symptoms yesterday.. it's was too immediate to be anything else.. but what about today.. possible?? I'm not officially DX'd with MS yet.. the dr's are in the process of trying to figure it out, but I had an dx of " most likely MS " 6 or 7 years ago... Guest guest
Hi Yvette, The stress of your exam probably triggered your symptoms. That's why it's so important for MSers to avoid stress. Guest guest
That's what I figured, Dudley. I just needed confirmation that's what happened.. because of course, the neuro denies these simple tests could have caused symptoms. All I was doing was looking at a moving computer screen.......
