Guest guest
, Ideally, I eat plain yogurt, dried/fresh fruit, seeds, nuts, veggies seafood and grains allowed on the ER4YT " A " lists only. I don't eat meat or dairy or wheat or a lot of junk food. If it were up to me I wouldn't eat any junk food, but I have sugar/carb cravings that are debilitating and always end up eating sugar eventually. If I don't eat it I literally get sick, though it's a toss up b/c eating it makes me sick as well. To say it is very discouraging is an understatement, at least. *sigh* A lesson in patience, I suppose. I'm in school right now and will be until May, so I'm limited in what I can do. Any light you could shed would be more than welcome. This is all so disheartening! Thank you. Hugs , What's your diet like? You may be eating very hard to digest foods. There's therapy and prevention. One without the other is useless. Let me know. _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
Guest guest
, Without trying to be critical of your diet I can say with a huge amount of confidence that your diet is sadly lacking. This is so mainly on 2 fronts that come immediately to mind. One is that you speak of the " ER4YT " diet which, in my opinion and that of many others much smarter than me, is a complete hoax. It's about on the level of astrology, i.e., almost anyone's type you read about would have elements that are true for anybody. Next, your diet otherwise, while sounding not too bad by society's standards, is actually very hard to digest and thus it doesn't surprize me that you are having all those symptoms. So you have 2 things going on at once: one is that you are basically malnurished and 2 the food you are eating is causing great irritation to your system thus causing a variety of symptoms as you describe. Bottom line is that you need to learn how to nurish yourself with pure proteins and fats that are easy to digest and don't throw off your system. I would therefore recommend reading a book called " We Want to Live " By Aajonus Vonderplaintz for more info on this. Let me know how it goes. Guest guest
Well, that's sort of critical :-). But to why I'm posting: I haven't read the books or the websites, but I've been " researching " alternative and other medicine on the web for the last few months, and ER4YT seems to be one of the least trusted of the alternative approaches, also in the alternative community, and also one of the most peripheral. There are a lot of approaches that have slowly manifested themselves as having something going for them over the years, and reappearing in serious advice given (liver and gallbladder cleanse being among them), but ER4YT smells bad. It's something completely of its own, having no logical place in neither a holistic picture nor a scientific one. One naturopath said that most of her clients who had tried the blood-type diet had not benefitted from it, and those who had improved had apparently done so because they have become more conscious about their diet. The blood types also crosscut metabolic types and special needs for people caused by chronic diseases. There are so many foods to avoid or accept that there's a fair chance of being allergens among those avoided. When people benefit from foods that should have been avoided, or avoid food they could have benefitted from, they tend not to notice it, only noticing that they get better when following the diet. The result seems to be astrology-like, yes. -- Helge >Without trying to be critical of your diet I can say with a huge >amount of confidence that your diet is sadly lacking. Guest guest
There is a guy on another group who swears by the ER4YT diet and says that it has most definitely benefited both his and his wife's health. Personally I agree that we are all so different and have many different needs according to our health and age. nne > and ER4YT seems

The author, for instance, doesn't take into account the 'leaky gut' individual who has loads of allergens. Instead he groups people into 4 groups that needs to follow his specific diet. It can't really work. It probably only works, like you say, because of noticing what you eat and cutting out junk. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Helge Gundersen " <helge.gundersen@...> <gallstones > Sent: Sunday, February 10, 2002 10:38 AM Subject: Re: digestion question-- > Well, that's sort of critical :-). > > But to why I'm posting: I haven't read the books or the websites, but > I've been " researching " alternative and other medicine on the web for > the last few months, and ER4YT seems to be one of the least trusted > of the alternative approaches, also in the alternative community, and > also one of the most peripheral. Guest guest
This is a pretty strong opinion considering you haven't read the books :-). I follow the diet as described in " Live Right for Your Type " and I like it alot. It's based on science, and has lots of references to back it up. Ultimately, the theory or references aren't as important as how the diet makes you feel. One way to know if it works for you or not is to try it. I don't think this diet is necessarily perfect as it is, but it is a good starting point. I think many people may only be able to eat a subset of the foods recommended because of allergies or sensitivities - this is true for me. However, the foods I do eat make me feel very well. - Liz -- __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
