Guest guest
Rogene~` Do you believe a woman can get better just by detoxing and not removing the implants? Someone I know is doing this, yet it sounds a bit crazy. Another person who had silicone replaced with saline, is now removing the saline and have an en bloc and putting them back in. It sounds like lots of work. Thank you for all of your help. Best, C. PlatteRogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: , Welcome to . . . we're here for either gel or saline implant women . . . Check our archives for recommended doctors. . . Nevertheless, get a commitment to remove them en block (preferably), or at a minumum a capsulectomy . . . including drains. The range of symptoms that come with breast implants is enormous . . . IMHO, it depends on a number of things . . . Sensitive to materials? . . . Defective implant? . . . Contaminated implant? . . . Detoriated implant? . . . Regardless, we can't PROVE it's breast implants that cause the problems because they STILL haven't studied sick women to find out why they're getting sick! . . . The good news is that women get much better after getting their implants properly removed, following excellent health practices and detoxing. Guest guest
, Personally, I don't think having breast implants is worth the risk . . . but everyone has to make up their own mind. Dr. Kolb has breast implants herself . . . But, as I see it, the difference is that she has the ability to monitor herself easily, plus the money and access to every detox program there is. If you can afford that kind of care, you're very fortunate. I'm sure there have been a few SYMPTOMATIC women who have replaced their implants and moved on. However, we've seen very few of them in this group. If a woman is symptomatic, the least (IMHO) she should do is to have a complete capsulectomy, then allow her body to heal completely before re-implanting. By the time most women get so very sick, they've decided that no breasts at all is preferable to the best pair money can buy! . . . One of the problems that comes with breast implants is cognitive . . . with ones mind in a fog, it's hard to prioritize the important issues in ones life. . . Not to mention other problems like forgetting things, using the wrong words, struggling to speak, and getting confused. To me, even though women get horribly ill physically, what it does to the brain is even worse! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
,I don't think everyone has a history of depression . . . I would get depressed at time, but who doesn't? . . . Clinical depression is a different kind of depression. I can't help feeling that there's a diet program that will unlock the mystery of depression so the body can get the nutrients it needs. I don't know of anyone who has studied this though. Each of us are so different chemically . . . I can see where tendencies towrds depressionn are inherited - but so is our chemical makeup. One thing for sure, when you're sick as a dog, tests don't show anything, you can't think straight, and family and doctors ridicule you, that's enough to make anyone depressed!Rogene

Guest guest
Thanks Brigite, My story is out there . . . scattered around in bits and pieces . . . The short of it is that I got silicone gel implants in 1978 .. . Within a short time I started developing multiple chemical sensitivity. First it was tobacco, then scents, then petroleum products, cleaning products, plus some unknown chemicals. . . Eventually these sensitivities controlled my life. Along the way, I collected a host of other problems . . . muscle/joint pain . . . spontaneous choking . . . scleroderma . . . hearing loss . . . cognitive problems . . . fatigue . . . depression . . . hearing loss in one ear . . . The list goes on and on, you've heard them all here before . . . Everything changed abruptly sixteen years later when I experienced God in a dream. . . I had just lost my job, my marriage was in the pits, along with my health. I didn't know where I was going to turn. . . God told me to turn everything over to Him . . . that He would take care of me, my family, my friends and my enemies. . . I woke up and readily agreed that He could have all my concerns. Since that time, I've been lead to the people and information I've needed to get my health back. I doubt that I'll ever be 100%, but, as long as I do EVERYTHING I know I need to do, I feel "normal" (whatever that is!) . . . Since that time, I've witnessed one miracle after another in my life - and in the lives of others - enough to know that God is fulfilling His promise. The thing that has held me in this cause is my concern about the children who are being injured by breast implants. At the first support meeting I attended, I witnessed a group of young mothers realize, for the first time, that the unusual health problems their children suffered from were shared by the children of other implanted women. I've found that, if a woman was symptomatic when her children were born, I can tell HER what problems her children are experiencing! . . . The pain these mothers experience is beyond words! I believe that God has blessed me so I can help others . . . I have to confess that there have been many times when I question why I'm still so involved . . . but the answer always comes back that there is still work to do. It's been an education! . . . Guest guest
Yeah that's what I thought so if you have a surgeon willing to remove en bloc and use drains and has done before you should be ok...right ? No matter if he believes they make you sick or not ? I know some that believe they cause pain but not really that they cause illness. Guest guest
. . . That's right! . . . Key to getting well is having your implants PROPERLY removed, then detoxing! If a surgeon doesn't take your desire to have the implants removed properly seriously, move on! . . . Wrong surgeon! Guest guest
Yes . .. I suspect that, even if a surgeon believes implants make you sick, they're not going to tell you . . . They could wind up testifying in court . . . the scorn of their peers. What you want is a doctor who respects your right to have the kind of procedure you request - and the skills to do it well. I doubt that a lymph node needs to be removed unless a problem is suspected. Guest guest
, I made sure that " patient request enboc procedure " was written on my surgical request. Be that as it may, Dr. Schnarrs and others will tell you that sometimes the capsule is so thin that it tears...and enbloc is not possible. The capsules are ususally thicker on the silicone implants. However....the important thing is for them to commit to getting all of it out that is surgically possible. Dr. Schnarrs told me he got all of mine out. I also saw them. Hope this helps. > > Yeah that's what I thought so if you have a surgeon willing to remove en > bloc and use drains and has done before you should be ok...right ? Guest guest
Exactly right Rogene! They may think it...but they may not say it. I would think the priority is to have the correct surgical technique in getting them removed. > Yeah that's what I thought so if you have a surgeon willing to remove en bloc and use drains and has done before you should be ok...right ? Guest guest
Dear Rogene~ I am having a really hard time. I feel like walking death. Poisoned and able to detox appropriately. My fiance and I are breaking up. I have to move out of our big beautiful house today and tomorrow. He can't handle me being sick anymore and I can't handle his misery anymore. He can't understand my sickness and thinks it is all in my head. I feel like I should have stayed and I got my explantation first, but there was too much pressure. I am suppossed to get explanted on September 7th. I am afraid because I already feel so sick and " unstable. " It's ridiculous. 2 years ago I would have never have said this. exactly 1 year ago I tried to take my life because of the crazy things that were going on with my body. Is there hope for me? I'm 38,unable to work, and tired of being an inconvenience to my family. I wanted children. I was a Marriage and Family Counselor. Can I make something out of my life after explantation? Will I be alone? All these questions race through my mind. Any input? I had saline for 6, switched to silicone for 1 year, and went back to saline. I total of 9 years. I think once you do that you will feel so much better...that's what I am hoping for...if you don't explant you'll never know...don't worry about how your gonna look I've seen thousands of pictures and most look better after explant...where do you live ? Guest guest
, I'm sorry to hear you an your fiancee are breaking up! . . . You certainly don't need the stress right now! . . . I suspect that once you settle into a new place, your stress levels will decrease and that alone will help. If he's not the kind of guy to stick it out with you though this, you're better off in the long run! . .. . When the right guy comes along, you'll know! I have no doubt that you'll start feeling better after your explant. I just wish you could do it sooner . .. but you'll soon be there! I can't begin to tell you how many women have written a message like yours just prior to explant! . . . Then come back a few months later to tell us how good life is again. I had silicone gel implant for sixteen years. Symptoms started within months and continued to get worse until I knew I was dying. . . I just didn't know why. I didn't have a support group to help with detoxing, diet, or anything else. . . I had lost my job and marriage was collapsing when I had a dream where God told me to turn everything over to him. . ..I woke up with the dream fresh on my mind and readily agreed to give him all my concerns and trust that He would take care of me. And He has! The support group I went to in Fort Worth was more of a mutual complaint group with no one having any direction. I'm firmly convinced that God lead me by the hand to who and what I needed when I needed them/it. He will do the same for you if you will only ask! Keep putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. Do what you know you need to do to take care of your body. You will get through! . .. And life will be good again! . . . As to children, I really can't answer that . . . There's no way to know what's going o happen when you turn your life over to God ... He answers prayers! Guest guest
Yes ... menopause is one reason for hair loss . . . I think, for most people, their hair does thin with age ... I passed menopause some time ago without a single menopause symptom. But I keep asking myself if this a result of the toxic world we live in and something we've come to think of as "normal" because we're all being affected. What I'm finding interesting is that the hair on my legs appears to be growing again. It's very fine and light - so it's hard to judge by appearance. . . Only time will tell. I do feel that iodine is helping me. RogeneKenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote: Hi Rogene,I heard on Oprah last week that another reason for hair loss on legs andunder the arms is menopause.
