Guest guest
Gals, I need opinions... I had an endoscopy done Wednesday under MAC anesthesia. The doctor said there was some infection in my stomach, ulcers, and acid. He also said he took some biopsies. (For what -I do not know.) My follow up is this coming Wednesday. My question is this: Did any of you experience the worst sore throat of your life in the following days? Wednesday and Thursday, I had some mild soreness in my throat, esophagus, and stomach. Now today, I have the worst sore throat I've had in my life. It's so bad I'm spitting when I can -because swallowing hurts so bad. Eating is unbearable. The pain is worse towards the top back of my throat, and a touch to the right. The pressure reaches from my throat to my ear, and also my gland is very swollen on the right side. There's even pressure building up in my head. Also, the past day and a half I've gotten very painful hiccups really easily. They were so bad earlier, I was in tears and got a migraine. (Hiccups are rare for me.) Does this pain sound like anything any of you experienced? I'm just trying to figure out if it's related to the endoscopy or maybe I just caught a cold, although my nose is fine and I'm not coughing much. Complications and side effects I've read online don't mention anything like this, so I'm hoping it's just a cold coming on -worse than usual. Thanks gals, Brigite
