Guest guest
Hi . LDN didn't have symptomatic relief for me, but I didn't have exacerbations while taking it. My body has gotten stronger and I don't feel like I'm heading towards further damage with my lifestyle changes. I haven't had any exascerbations in over two years and my recent MRIs showed no new activity. I also removed the amalgams from my mouth and the mercury toxicity that I was found to have is not effecting me as much as it did. I had several types of chelation but I plan to use Andy Cutler's method of DMSA and ALA after I finish a 60day detox and bowel cleanse. I also have candida albicans overgrowth under control. I chose to stop LDN because I prefer to be totally drug-free. If I felt it would be helping me, I would still be taking it. julie levitt wrote: If one is doing well on LDN, why would it be necessary to then stop LDN. I have been on LDN for just over 3 months but I don't see it as a temporary intervention but curious why others would (assuming it works for me). I failed brief trials on avonex and copaxone and even tried copaxone again but none stopped the continued new lesions and progression. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
I don’t and never had any amalgams or vaccinations as a child or adult for that matter so I am using Cutler’s protocol of DMSA right now. I don’t tolerate the ALA and it causes vastly worse CNS problems which he actually talks about in his book so I am just doing the 50mg per day of DMSA right now for the first 3 months. My hair and blood tests for mercury were extremely high (almost 6ppm) where over 1 is elevated and over 3 is high so that was a little ground shattering. Unlike you, I don’t have any candida/yeast issues btw interesting for all the other health issues I have faced. I have been having exacerbations for multiple years and Skip’s pharmacy has discussed use of the LDN to modulate some of the experience so we shall see. I am continuing to have exacerbation and much spasticity although significantly worse when I first started the LDN and increased the dose. I do take beclofen regularly during the day due to spasticity although some point hope to eliminate that from my protocol. I have done several other types of vitamin based chelation and detox but obviously none touched the mercury and especially what worries me is the level of mercury in my brain that is even harder to get out. ALA always made me very progressive in Cns symptoms so for now, I am not to take ALA…cutler mentions this in his protocol as well……I have done other chelation as said but none as strong as DMSA and apparently the mercury level now in my body is quite worrisome so I had to jump to the DMSA right away. For now, I am going to remain on the LDN at 4.5mg and see. If spasticity continues, I may jump back down to 3mg so we shall see. julie _____ From: mscured [mailto:mscured ] On Behalf Of Pugh Sent: Sunday, June 18, 2006 10:46 AM To: mscured Subject: RE: LDN, mercury toxicity as cause or start of MS, other topics?
