What's your diet like? You may be eating very hard to digest foods. There's

therapy and prevention. One without the other is useless. Let me know.

I have a problem with my digestion, in that I basically don't have any. I

bloat up if I eat or drink anything, including water, and if I bend over

after eating, it comes right back up. For example, last night I ate and 5

hours later I bent over to get something and some of the food came up,

completely undigested. I'm on digestive aids and herbs and everything and I

have gotten some better, but it's not night and day by any means. Would a

gallstone/liver flush help this? Has anyone else had these sorts of

problems? Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Well shucks. I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do. , you mentioned

that I need to learn how to nourish myself w/pure proteins and fats. What

do you mean? I have tried high protein/high fat, low protein/fat, balanced

diets, fad diets, and I feel terrible on all of them, but better on the ones

w/less fat and more carbs, though it's a toss up b/c it makes me have

cravings. In my experience there seems to be mixed feelings about the ER

diet. I only follow it b/c my NP suggested it. I do seem to feel better

w/o the meat, though. When I ate that I had a lot of problems with my blood

pressure dropping suddenly. I was told by a friend, though, that I should

get my allergies tested (haven't done that yet; quit going to doctors before

I got to that point) but was told i should get RAST testing, and am trying

to locate some places for that near me, in MD. I guess if my diet is so

hard to digest and unbalanced, does anyone have any experience or

suggestions on how to improve it? Anything you could tell me would be

great.

Thanks so much!

, sounds like you need a good Natural Hygienist. This is a person,

called a Doctor of Natural Hygiene, skilled in suppervising fasts and

helping one get well through nutrition and other means. They, of course,

have other educational requirements.

Malabsorption/ maldigestion is a common basis for food allergy problems.

There are two major types of food reactions which involve two different

types of antibody production in your blood. Type 1 is immediate (IgE) .

Types II and III are delayed (IgG4 antibodies) Those are the ones you don't

readily notice (II and III). A blood test is a more accurate way to detect

these allergies. MetaMetrix Medical Laboratory in Atlanta is one lab that

performs this test. Their number is 1-800-221-4640. Maybe your doc could

look into it for you.

take care, laura

, I bet if you stick with GB flushes, eat a very balanced diet, more lean

meats and steamed veggies, salads and flax oil and lecithin. Cut WAY down on the

sugar and eat less carbs, that you will see an improvement over a period of

time. Try some bowel cleansing too, there is a list for that. The allergies

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your feedback. I guess a main focus right now will be for me to

get my allergies tested. I’m getting very depressed over the sugar cravings

and nothing helps them. My system isn’t strong enough for a fast right now,

but I will keep that in mind for the future. I appreciate everyone’s info,

but I guess I’ll just have to see. Thanks.

My gallbladder was removed in '91, but when I had my attacks I could only get

relief by sticking my finger down my throat and emptying my stomach. I would

eat at about 6:00 or so in

the evening and by midnight/1:00 am I would wake up with excruciating pain. I

noticed the food was like it had just been chewed and it was six or more hours

later. It just sat there.

The pain wasn't in my stomach, it was my gallbladder, but emptying my stomach

made the attack subside. I don't know why it wouldn't break down. I think I

remember things coming up

fairly easily, too, while bending over. It seems to me a cleanse might help

you. I would have done it, had I known about it at the time.

One reason your food looked the same after a couple of hours could

have been because the gallbladder and ducts were blocked by stones

and sludge and the bile couldn't get down into the start of the

intestine to breakdown the foods properly.

The stomach should have digested it a little but the bile is really

needed to break it down and give it color.

Just a thought. :-)

Hi

You're right - people in this crowd are used to these topics. :) When I

used to use the EpsomSalts I think it started to affect me about an hour

after the first dose. Like Barry said, though, each body is different. If

you're apprehensive about it, you might consider trying a lesser amount, to

see how it feels. Some people don't take all the doses, also.

Unfortunately the only way to find out how your body will respond is to give

it a go! I hope you'll keep us posted on how it goes!

Hi,

Janet, Barry, and everyone, thanks for all of your help. I’m going to be

doing the cleanse for the first time this weekend. I’ve had pain in my

upper left abdomen, deep inside, for months now and recently it has gotten

much worse. I’m hoping the cleanse will help the pain, my sugar cravings,

and my digestion, among other things. I did have another question, though.

I’ve heard some people say that the Epsom salts pretty much ripped right

through them immediately after they drank it; others didn’t seem to have

that problem. I’m trying to plan how to do the cleanse and would like

others’ input on whether it hit them immediately or not? I don’t know how

to ask this question more delicately, but I figured most people on loops

like these are used to it. :) If anyone minded just chiming in a word or 2

about the time lapse, I’d be very grateful! Thanks so much, and take care.

,

Some people have diarriha and start eliminating digestive tract

sludge right away like me. Sometimes 30 minutes after the first 6pm

drink of ES. Sometimes at 9pm after the second ES drink. Others the

following morning after the third or fourth drink. Every 'body' is

different and you need to see how yours will react for itself. This

depends on the condition of your body and health.

Don't worry. It doesn't hurt at all. Just a little discomforting to

have to go to the bathroom so much. Even when the 1 or 2 inch stones

come out it doesn't hurt because they are well oiled up. :-)

Good luck.

Barry.

Yes, run fast to the toilet (or outhouse like ..;-)..).

Make sure your toilet is in good working order. You want to have that

throne in tip-top condition because you don't want to have it

breaking down on you during a flush. My toilet gets 15-20 flushes per

hour for the first couple hours after the evening and morning ES

drinks. I'm afraid sometimes that the poor thing is going to stop.

Well, now that you put it that way (every 3 minutes). haha More like

every 10 minutes. Maybe 6 to 10 times per hour. :-)

Whew! :) I'm relieved to hear that. 6-10 is still a lot, but it's better!

Now I can see why you write about your weekend being ruined (probably not

the specific word you used) by doing the cleanse. If I had a reaction

like that, I'd be feeling the same way!!

I admire your persistence - in view of that!

I'd have to agree with that. Without the great success I've seen I wouldn't

be repeating this cleanse every two weeks! :) I'm glad to say that the

number of stones coming out is decreasing, so I might be getting closer to

that goal of just doing it as maintenance every six months. Won't that be

great? :)
