Hey Girls I started diflucan yesterday..I don't have explant till 9/7/06 but Dr Kolb and my Gp put me on it now...could it be making me feel worse ? The pain in my legas and hands are awful...its a ache like a tooth ache..plus I have night sweats and can't sleep and yesterday my neck was killing me.

Yes, you are reacting to the yeast being killed off. It sounds like you

have a lot of yeast! How many days Diflucan did the docs put you on?

The Diflucan made me feel the same way because of yeast die off. I called Dr. Kolb (this was in April before my surgery) and she said to take it every other day so that I wouldn't get as sick. That's what I did and I just finished taking it last week.

Hope this helps.

Yes, it could make things worse because of either " die off " or

herxheimer effect. Since the diflucan is killing fungus, it can

make you feel worse at first. I took Diflucan a couple of times and

it gave me night sweats, too, I think it somehow impacts your

hormones - I'd be interested to see if you either skip your period,

or if your period is later, or lighter or heavier this time. When I

took it, I skipped a period.

, I'm hoping you're feeling better now ,.. I thought the recommendation to take Diflucan every other day was good . . . . expecially for the first week if you're having so much pain!. . .You apparently have a really bad casel Just be sure not to eat ANY sweets, or refined grains . .. That would nourish the very organisms Diflucan is trying to get rid of . Rogene \

I personally don't think it would hurt. I think I started the Diflucan about 3 to 4 weeks before my surgery. You could ask Dr. Kolb but in my opinion I would go on vacation and not worry about it until I returned.
