I have a flat hard spot under my left nipple , it's scar tissue..I've had this before with other breast surgeries.....I was told to massage but I had a T lift and my breast are real sore if I wait to massage will it still go away ? The nurse didn't seem to think its a big deal. Anyone else have this ???? Help

I, too, had some hard spots that went away over time. I would wait to massage it, though, until you aren't sore but I do think it will go away on its own.

Unless tissues bind together in the scar formation and you end up with a

cavity or a ridge or a part of the breast held down to the chest wall

which keeps the breast then from moving freely as it should. I think

massage, gentle, is very important for that stuff, but that's MHO.

Everyone should check with her own doctor. I've been told to do by

dermatologists and plastic surgeon.

All I can think of is applying Vitamin E oil, 800 mg. is what I use,

apply liberally 3x a day. Should soften nicely.

My physiotherapist claims that ultra-sound treatments breaks down

hard scar tisses. Once I had an intramuscular infection because a

nurse didn't clean my hip area well enough, and she pushed some

bacteria into my tissues. I had a raging infection for a couple of

weeks, and when it healed I had 3 huge lumps in my right butt cheek!

Not funny! Doc said they should heal just fine...uh, uh...didn't

happen.

While at a physio treatment, she suggested breaking up the lumps

with utra-sound. One treatment and voila, they dispersed and

disintegrated. Thank God! I didn't want to walk around with a lumpy

butt forever! lol Don't know if this would work the same for tough

scar tissue, it should.

Love, Sunny :)

Sunny - that is a great idea - I know all about the virtues of Vitamin E and it never occured to me to do that - after 10 years I still have scars from augmentation, so I know I will need the Vitamin E after explant.Sunny <wellnessnow@...> wrote: All I can think of is applying Vitamin E oil, 800 mg. is what I use, apply liberally 3x a day.
