Guest guest
I'm 3 days post explant and I get a sort of pinching pain when I move or bend down too-it's not burning though. I'm also sort of nauseaus-I have no appetite, but am forcing myself to eat a salad right now-it's all I've eaten today. I'm suppossed to go back to work on Monday-I'm a cashier. I don't think I'll be able to lift at all, like the bags of papers I will have to lift, or some of the heavier groceries I will have to scan? When is a good time to tell them I can come back to work? I've wanted to ask this question, but for some reason, I'm unable to send messages to the group through any way other than through email-I can't post directly to the group. I've posted my photos on Shutterfly, but was unable to let anyone on the group know. :(GMCLADY98@... wrote: My explant was a week and a half ago , I have felt pretty good, but right now my right breast hurts, a burning pinching feeling and when I move or bend down it hurts worse, anyone get this and what can it be ? Guest guest
, I had this also, I think it might just be nerves healing and tissue pulling together. All that stuff is healing and it does fee; like pinching and it does burn it will get better. Guest guest
Terri, It's so weird the different dates we are given as to when we can go back to work. I was told it would depend on how I felt, but 4 days or so. Obviously there is the 'not working out' factor for 6 weeks. I will have 6 days off, including the surgery day, and could possibly swing one extra one, but I am the same boat. Can't do any more than that. I am not too worried about it. One of the ladies at Dr. Melmed (I am not going to him for explant though) told me she finds women who are 'set' on getting back to work right away tend to heal more quickly - self fullfilling prophecy. Don't know if that is true, but I am definitely psyching myself up for Feeling Good! > > My explant was a week and a half ago , I have felt > pretty good, but right now my right breast hurts, a burning pinching > feeling and when I move or bend down it hurts worse, anyone get this > and what can it be ? Guest guest
It does seem awfully soon. Maybe just see how it goes and then if it is too much, tell your boss you just can't work yet after all? I know what it is like to feel pinched financially. I think so many of us do. I left a career to go to school in my 40s, expecting to make up the difference when I graduated. But then I was too sick to work! And I had huge student loans. It was very depressing. Fortunately, things improved - our luck changed a bit and my health improved. I am only working part time still, but at least we are not drowning. There is nothing more important than health. If you need time to recover, it may be better int he long run. What you don't need are more complications from doing too much too soon. So play it by ear.. > leyna, > > Working as a cashier is hard physical work with too much motion of the > upper body and arms! Too soon to go back.
