Mine is usually high when my doc checks it after fasting, BUT diabetes also runs in my family BAD. I've been able to avoid a diagnosis by trying to keep sugar out of my life, and it's seemed to have worked ---but watch me jinx myself now! LOL

Maybe it will work for you, too... and sugar seems to be like a poison to our bodies anyway, so maybe the fear of diabetes will drive you to avoid it.

Good luck!

(It's hard.) :(

I know diflucan can take a toll on organs. Does Dr. Kolb ever use

grapefruit seed extract or GSE?

Here is a little paragraph that descripbes it:

*Grapefruit Seed Extract*

Grapefruit seed extract (GSE) is a quaternary compound converted from

the bioflavonoids (found in grapefruit seed and pulp). This plant-based

germicidal has proven to have a strong growth-inhibiting effect on

bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses. Because of its extremely low

toxicity for humans, GSE is becoming a treatment of choice for those

seeking a broad spectrum antimicrobial without the side effects

associated with many pharmaceuticals.

According to published sources, GSE is effective against more than 800

bacterial and viral strains, 100 strains of fungi, as well as a large

number of single cell and multicelled parasites. Grapefruit seed extract

has powerful anti-fungal activity at concentrations as low as 200 parts

per million. During 1989-90, an international research team reported in

the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine (Volume 5, No. 3, 1990) the

effect of GSE on 770 strains of bacteria and 93 strains of fungus in

comparison with 30 antibiotics and 18 fungicides. They found that GSE

performed as well as any of the tested agents.

As a result of these actions, chronic candidiasis (both intestinal and

systemic) is being treated with excellent results using grapefruit seed

extract, according to numerous clinics and medical practitioners. Its

acidic nature augments the activity of calcium undecylenate which is

most effective at a pH below 6.0.

I have used it on my son who has autism. Kids with autism often have

candida problems. The GSE works beautifully, and it has an added

benefit of being the absolute bitterest thing you can ever choke down (

ha ha). You only take about 10-15 drops at a time, in liquid, though.

It is supposedly completely safe, and might be a good alternative to

drugs.

I started it this week. To begin my post-explant detox I thought I

would go for the biggie first -- I am prone to candida symptoms, plus I

ate like grabage right before surgery, craved sugar like mad, and had a

bunch of antibiotics.

I am definitely having die-off signs.

When your doc says no sugar -- I am assuming she means NO sugar --

including fruit, fruit juice, honey, artifical sweetner, and some grains

and vegetables. Also anything fermented -- alcohol, soy sauce, malt,

tempeh, and some vegetables grown under the ground such as potatoes,

onions, beets, and such. I am just mentioning it in case you don't know.

You probably do, but perhaps someone else reading this can benefit if

they don't know.

I have lots of links on this stuff, if you are interested.
