Hi Don, In answer to you query, the Assistive Devices Program is with

the Ministry of Health in Ontario. Do you live in Ontario? If so,

there is an 800# you can call for information. It is 1-,

or the infoline at 1-. I just received approval for my

wheelchair, $10,000 plus and the Ont. gov't covers 75%. We can also

access the Ontario March of Dimes for such things as retrofittinng your

bathroom, kitchen, and vehicle (i.e. installing a lift in the van) up

to $15,000. if you qualify (i.e. combined income of less than $51,000)

As to what kind of chair I'm getting I'll just write what's on the order

sheet.....Adult power base action arrow storm series, mid-wheel

drive 8 X 2 casters, seat package ( must be top of the line cost

$667. ), full length adjustable arm rests, footrests with adj.

footplates, swing away controls,

2 24 gel cell batteries Mark 4, short base 14 X 3 foam filled rear

tires.

We live on a country side road so I'll be able to take it for a

spin without any

problems. Can't wait till spring. Just got my electric bed from the

ALS society so I'll ride it till then. Scenery gets boring though.

Take care God Bless ....Helen Koob.
