Guest guest
Dawn, You're a bit premature in worrying about a bra size right now , , , Until healing is well underway, you'll do best with a snug, but comfortable sports bra. This will help internal scar tissue hold everything in place. By that time, you'll be ready to go to a speciality shop - , or a high-end department store where they have bra fitting specialists. By the time they get through with you, you'll look fine. You may want to pad your sports bra while you're healing. Chances are you're going to be thrilled with your new look! Especially when you feel so much better to boot! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Dawn, As Rogene mentioned I would call around department stores and see if they have a professional fitter. I'm a breast cancer/implant survivor so my situation is different but if you have a Nordstroms, Dillards, Macy's, Neiman Marcus or a really good 's Secret near you I would call them. Penni anyone wanna help me figure out my new bra size? Hi friends,I am getting ready to buy a new bra for my new post-explant breasts. Almost done wearing the "Imprisonator-style" compression/sports bra.I have very small breasts. When I went to measure around my ribs to find the band size, I came upwith 32 1/2. I added my 4 or 5 inches depending on how you round upand I came up with a 36 or a 38 band size. I measured the cup size and got 36 around. so, at best, if I can fit into a 36, the zero-one inch differencegives me a AA cup. What do I do with the 38 inch size bandsize -- that leaves negativetwo inches between band size and cup size !!! IT'S NOT ON THE CHART!Not even a AAA?How can that be, since I do have more than just nipples and aperfectly flat chest? There is actual tissue there. This was part of the frustration that lef me to implants in the firstplace. I am six feet tall. Skinny. Yet, I have a band size of atleast 36 inches, sometimes a 38, depending on the bra.I CAN'T FIND A BRA THAT FITS ME. My breasts never look good underclothes, because I have nursed children, braless isn't great --sometimes the weight of a shirt flattens me out. I guess this is why Iused to hide them.I used to be in tears when bra shopping, because I really, truly, never met with success, and when not pregnant or nursing, I have neverhad a bra that has fit me.Anyone every find a 38 AAA bra? I'm not sure they exist.I can't really even find 36AA.I feel like crying while I write this. It is my first post-explantset-back, aside from herxing from detox which was easy to get through.I know -- at least I'll have my health, which is important. But Ineed to find a bra that fits and helps me feel good about thesmallness of my breasts. It's hard to do right this minute, because Ican't even fill an A cup, and I can't find an AA.I am hesitant to shop by mail, because I have a larger chest area (not breasts) than a lot of women, and most bras just don't fit.Any advice?Dawn
