Guest guest
This is for those of you who have to worry about mosquitos. MOSQUITOES Pass this on to anyone who likes sitting out in the evening or when they're having a cook out. So you don't like those pesky mosquitoes, especially now that they have the potential to carry the West Nile Virus? Here's a tip that was given at a recent gardening forum. Put some water in a white dinner plate and add just a few drops of Lemon Fresh Joy dish detergent. Set the dish on your porch, patio, or other outdoor area. Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, the white plate, or what, but mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead shortly after drinking the Lemon Fresh Joy/water mixture, and usually within about 10 feet of the plate. Check this out -- it works just super! May seem trivial, but it may help control mosquitoes around your home, especially in the South and elsewhere where the West Nile virus is reaching epidemic proportions in mosquitoes, birds and humans. Pass it on.....
Guest guest
. . . Very interesting! . . . Did you attract mosquitos before you started detoxing? My sister-in-law is very allergic to mosquito bites . . . She doses herself heavily with Vitamin B when she knows she's going to be around mosquitos. . . Thankfully, we don't seem to have a problem here. I think mosquitos prefer the lower areas. If you can get those kids away from sugar, they'll do much better in the long run . . . Guest guest
Are you taking B-vitamins? B-vitamins will make you a less tasty treat for insects. Insects bite my husband and kids but leave me alone, it's because of the high level of B's that I take. Kenda > I don't know if there is anything to this, but I will tell you anyway. Guest guest
Now that I think of it, we used citronella lanterns on in our back yard patio last summer every day. This year, we haven't used them much. My hubby lights one when he is out there but, I don't seem to notice as many skeeters flying around as I did last summer. Does vitamin B repel mosquitos? I have never heard of that. Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: . . . Very interesting! . . . Did you attract mosquitos before you started detoxing? Guest guest
. . . according to my sister-in-law, Vitamin B makes you less appealing to mosquitos . . . why? I don't know. Rogene
