I was in a situation yesterday where I did eat some meat and broth in the

morning, but then I had to leave the house and was unable to eat anything all

day. It was then after 6 pm and I was still a long way from home and knew it

would be nearly bedtime by the time I could get there. I weighed my options at

the little store I stopped at and they were all bad: Candy, nuts, chocolate,

chips or popcorn. Then finally I saw some beef jerky. Of course they all had

sugar and preservatives. However it was also the least objectionable and the

most likely to keep me from having problems. So I went ahead and bought a piece

and ate half of it and was satisfied.

Sometimes we’re in a situation where we have to compromise, but there are

usually less harmful choices if we look for them.

Subject: why ketosis is more important than the food (but

the food is also important )

Tahnee

Ketosis lowers glutamate, the excitorary neuron that makes us edgy and hyper

alert. It converts the glutamate into GABA. The GABA is very soothing. Without

the glutamate we should not be as nervy and worrisome. and with the GABA we do

become more spiritual and calm. From this experience the brain is able to better

create and sustain all the other neurons we need like dopamine, seratonin etc

When in ketosis we also create more glutathione. the glutathione is an

antioxidant that cleans the cells and keeps them healthy. this is particularly

important for brain gut and nervous system function
