Guest guest
Hello If you leg continues to cramp and is even a bit swollen you might have a blood clot and should go to the doctor. Also it could be a b12 deficiency- Our B12 should be at least 500 but most doctors will tell you 200 is fine but its not esp when we are eating meat and it should stay in our systems for years. its a simple blood test Hope you start to feel better increasing your carbs Ciao- Ange ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Mon, February 27, 2012 8:52:03 AM Subject: Re: : The agony of getting into ketosis Hi Joanne, I think that is what happened to me. I went really low carb (after the high carb gerson diet) and became way more tired and my thyroid temperature decreased ( I measure my BT every morning), so I am now trying to increasing my carbs without including what is forbidden in Bee's diet. I also started to get a lot of cramps on my calf but I don't know if it is related to this. I am limping now from this pain. Two days ago I got this calf cramp early morning and I started to deeply breath, tried to relax and it helped a lot, it did not last as long as last time.Paz Subject: : The agony of getting into ketosis To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > Date: Monday, February 27, 2012, 8:47 AM I have not heard of this specifically before but I do know that because many people have severe, very severe healing reactions when they suddenly go no carb Bee encourages folk to wean downwards I too think it is important to wean downwards and sometimes forget to tell folk the importance of this. I recall that in the early days, when I was doing Atkins, I could go no carb low carb relatively easily the first 14 days of my cycle, but the second 14 and I was all over the place. I had to have carbs to function and often would leave ketosis I did not get the hang of this for a long time. When I cleaned up my diet with Bees diet it got easier for me, but I noticed that when I actually forced myself into no carb on a perminant basis, I eventually stopped having all this stuff and I fent fantastic. Even got worried about maybe having to eat the carbs again Anyway, and this was a coincidence, it was at this time that I read up on the low starch diet My arthitic symptoms also became worse the second two week of my cycle and dr Ebringer was claiming starch was the culprit. When I decided it was time to reintroduce carbs I took particular care to avoid starch, I even used iodine for a while on my veg to check there was no starch in them at all. You can do this by tipping just a little iodine on a small peice and if it turns black then their is starch in it, but you cannot go off this all year because the level of starch in vegetables changes from batch to batch and even the same vegetable can have either none or a trace depending on the batch. Anyway as I returned to carbs I really was fussy about my starch intake and found not only did my arthirtic symptoms not return this PMS stuff also stopped Anyway, now I can tolerate more starch than I could back then but starch is still my biggest problem Back to what you were saying about the symptoms around no carbing, I have not heard that this is thyroid related before, but it well could be since like the article is sayinging the symptoms are much the same, and this is the reason really that we need to go slow and have support from Bees forum. Myself I think the dreadful feelings I get as I am heading to ketosis are withdrawel, addiction feelings. To me as I go through it it feels like my body is demanding its fix. this has tricked me in the past not to go for it and I remained in a sort of unbalanced addiction state, which to be honest with you was not good for me at all. Now a days, although no carbing does bring discomfort I do make myself doing to get my ketones up and to detox. It is not has horrendous now as it was back then and the benefits of having the ketones really out weighs that awful feeling I get to get them. what helps is taking painkillers for one day and really relaxing. It would be better without the torment but I still to this day have not been able to help myself much with this. As I add the carbs, up to 15g by body does usually feel a little better Love Joanne ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Monday, 27 February 2012, 4:52 Subject: anyone heard of this before My husband sent me this link about going no carb can cause thyroid symptoms http://drcate.com/going-low-carb-too-fast-may-trigger-thyroid-troubles-and-hormo\ ne-imbalance/?utm_source=feedburner & utm_medium=email & utm_campaign=Feed%3A+drcate\ %2FPBhs+%28drcate.com%29 & utm_content=Yahoo%21+Mail Ciao- Ange ________________________________ From:Joanne Ford To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > Sent:Sun, February 26, 2012 1:30:39 PM Subject:Re: Re: Margaret: GAPS a DVD
