Guest guest
It has a 30 day back guaranty! What do you have to lose? It has 46 anti oxidants to help fight different things going on in your body. No side effects! Xango is the only juice made from the rind, which that is where all the xanthons are found. Guest guest
This is sounding a whole lot like a sales pitch. My diet is full of antioxidants and I get my supplements from my ND. I have nothing to lose by taking Xango but I feel I have nothing to gain either. For those whose diets are low in antioxidants, it might help, not the rest of us. Guest guest
Pam, Please don't be offended by our comments regarding this juice. It may indeed be something that could be helpful to the women on our group. We will leave it up to each woman to decide. I guess what you need to understand is that there a million and one products out there that purport to help us--everything from these juices to hormone sprays and miracle creams, rubs, clays, seaweed, magnets and more. Lots of multi-level marketing stuff too. There is just no way for every woman to try everything, unless she were independently wealthy and had nothing else to do with her time but wade through these claims. Some of these things are entirely valid, others are just cool and unusual ways to get nutrients and minerals, albeit expensive and the latest fad in nutritionals. I've seen this for years. I've tried lots of things, and as I said, there are no magic bullets! I am glad you like the mangosteen juice....lots of people do and have found great results with it. I could say the same thing about noni juice, pomegranate juice, Seasilver, Juice Plus, Mannatech, Blue-green algae, Shaklee and Amway products, and I am sure there are lots of others! A 30 day guarantee is great too...but I bet most people don't take advantage of it. Thanks again for sharing...it is this kind of sharing that helps us all, and I do appreciate it. Just keep in mind that there are lots and lots of products out there that make similar claims. Pattymorrellpam@... wrote: It has a 30 day back guaranty! What do you have to lose? Guest guest
I used to eat mangosteens all the time in Java, where I lived for several years. They grow everywhere. It's so funny to me to see them juiced and sold for very expensive prices in pyramid schemes. The xanthones in mangosteens may have some good properties, but it makes me sad to see people get snookered into paying high prices for something that in the country of origin is an everyday food. Guest guest
Bindi, a pyramid scheme is when there is no product or service provided to the customer. People sign up with cash and receive nothing in the mail or no product delivery. So Pam wouldn't be involved in that type of business. There is alot of negativity placed on multi-level marketing companies. Actually, our own Canadian government is a big pyramid scheme -- with alot of our tax dollars spent on personal political pleasures. I was involved with Herbalife for years -- the products are high quality, my health improved immensely and everyone has an equal chance to build their own business. God had other plans for me, so I quit the business end but still enjoy the products when I can. It's too bad alot of people have had " sour " experiences with MLM's, such as being invited over to someone's house for supper and finding out it's an Amway pitch. That's not the way I was trained to share my business venture with others. Happy Healing to All, Love, Sunny > It has a 30 day back guaranty! What do you have to lose? Guest guest
Sunny, There might be some multi-level marketing companies that are decent, but I personally have little respect for any company that is interested in making big profits off of people's health issues. People are so vulnerable when they are having trouble with their health, so easily swayed by the promise of a cure. I am, too, even though I am as skeptical as heck about anything that is not backed by sound science. Just one look at Xango's slick website tells me all I need to know. The only way to purchase any of their mangosteen juice is to "become a member" and nowhere is it mentioned what the price of a bottle of juice is. But I know, because I know a "member" who sells it-- it's $25 a bottle! If Xango is as great as is claimed, there would be scientists all over the stuff, it would be in JAMA and PubMed and everywhere, and you wouldn't have to join anything to get it. I'm not saying it isn't good stuff, but come on! It reminds me of the drug companies that refuse to allow generic versions of their AIDS drugs to be sold to poor people in Africa. Sadly, those of us who are ill and bushwhacking our way through both the traditional and alternative medicine jungles have to chart our own courses. Thank goodness for the internet and groups like this! Bindi Re: Mangosteen juice, Pam Bindi, a pyramid scheme is when there is no product or service provided to the customer. Guest guest
Yes, MLM makes it expensive, but that is not a reason to think it is not good. JAMA and the AMA do not publicize things doctors cannot make money on, and natural items are not something doctors can make $$$ on. That is why you do not hear about most natural items in those publications, not because they are no good. Guest guest
Uh oh, Let's not go there Ladies! I think it is great that we are all open to the ideas of natural medicine, alternative medicine, herbal medicine, homeopathic medicine...there are so many valid viewpoints and successes with therapies! Let's stay optimistic about what is working for us and forge ahead with perseverance in the quest for health. Openmindedness is a must, and I am just so thankful that we are sharing our various experiences. We have had so many women get better. I trust that many of you are going to continue to find success in healing, no matter what viewpoints we have that differ, but I think the common link is that we need to be aware of how our bodies have changed, and pursue a path of clean living that will build new health for our ravaged bodies. Keep focused on the positive! That is extremely necessary for healing! Guest guest
Bindi, I'm with you on that! There are alot of people out there who just want to make money. It's sad. I came across a bunch of wonderful, loving people with Herbalife and if you become a distributor, you automatically get 30% off the retail price, with no pressure to sell products. It's similar to being a member of Costco...paying a membership fee every year. My health dramatically improved in a short time. Simple, basic nutrition -- dehydrated food. Herbalife has 50 doctors and scientists, on a board, working along with herbalists to make the product safe. It takes the guesswork out of it for me. I've shopped at Health Food stores alot in my life, and usually would end up with 1/2 full bottles of product sitting in my shelf, because, frankly they were of poor quality. Not to say some are great products. I'm of the mind, that I have to experience something myself before I will share it with others. And ofcourse, we all have our sacred journeys - and are guided from within, and from God (with my beliefs) to what is best for us. I've always encouraged my family and friends to receive suggestions, then take time to meditate and pray for your personal answer. Love to you and all the wonderful, loving women here, Sunny > > It has a 30 day back guaranty! What do you have to lose? Guest guest
You got that right! Have you seen the movie, " Patch " ? He has the right idea. I have a similar dream for a healing center in the foothills in Alberta. I wrote him when I was desparate to have my implants removed last year, to see if his hospital was finished in West Virginia. It isn't. Lack of money, ofcourse. He has been persecuted by the medical industry big time. He did reply personally, to me. I was testing his compassion level. He passed! See the movie, if you haven't. It's inspiring. Guest guest
Lynda, WELL SAID!! I still remember a German neighbor when I was little, who gave my Mom spearmint leaves for my tummy ache. We had just moved to Edmonton (the capital city of Alberta) from a farm. My Mom stuck with natural methods for awhile, and then I remember the Pepto Bismol entered the household! YUK! lol Three cheers for God's natural plants! Physician, heal thyself! Love & Healing Prayers, Sunny > > > > It has a 30 day back guaranty! What do you have to lose? Guest guest
Every summer my daughter goes to a performing arts camp run by Wavy Gravy (any Dead Heads out there?) and Patch is always there-- he is such a crazy, loving person, everybody just wants to grab him and hug him. He has long gray hair that he dyes blue, and always wears crazy clown clothes and nutty earrings. He's a riot. All the little girls run after him, calling "Patchy! Patchy!" Once, at the "Big Show" they do at the end of camp for the parents, he led us through some "exercises" he said he'd done with the kids during camp. First, he had us each turn to a stranger on our right whom we didn't know, and hug them for three minutes. Then, he had us turn to a stranger on our left and stare into their eyes and repeat "I love you" over and over for three minutes. Three minutes is a long time! It was a very freaky, amazing and liberating experience, and to know that our kids had done the same was powerful. Patch is all about LOVE. He's the best. Guest guest
That's awesome! He said he gets alot more out of clowning and his peace talks right now. When he and his son were in Sri Lanka, he sent me a postcard, out of the blue. What a guy, eh? He had very kind words for me and lots of compassion regarding my implant situation, and had some words I shouldn't repeat on the site, about his take on those type of surgeries.
