Even though this was 1991, these nurses were somewhat on the odd side. They insisted that I " ice my stitches " . I thought about it, and they really didn't hurt, but I said okay. This nurse brought in a rubber glove, filled to the gills with ice. Picture this icy hand shape coming at you! I just looked at her - and asked her what I was supposed to do with it. She said it was for my " sore spots " , and I said - " do I use like one finger? Where would I put the other 4? " . She went off and told the doctor I was " refusing treatment " . What a bonehead. If I thought I was sitting funny before, try sitting on this huge cold hand!!!! Terri
