Guest guest
Thanks, Joanne. You're right, it does sound boring...not much cooking. I can see why you find other things to do..this will get me OUT of the kitchen. Even though I am not hungry on this plan I'm still tied to " snack " times and wanting to munch on things....must be from boredom. I do miss the crunch of a good cracker or chip as all meats and fats are chewy/soft. I'm using the crunch of raw veggies but not quite as tasty as carbs!! > > Judy > > > These are the ratios I eat in a day. I have two meals each day and one snack > > > Protein 63 grams > > Fats from 219 grams > > Carbohydrates 15 grams (Bee allows me more carbs than this but if I eat the amount allowed by her calculator I have far more problems with cravings so nowadays rather than have to worry about all that I simply keep my carb intake very very low) > > In the morning I am never hungry, but for me this is the best time to take my supplements, so first thing I have a small piece of meat (15g) with 22g Coconut oil, 15g Cod liver oil, 22g Butter with Sea salt. Plus 50mg Vitamin B Complex, 100mg Vitamin B1, 100mg Niacin, 1000mg Vitamin C, 200mg Vitamin E, One Halibut oil capsule > > My Lunch is usually eggs, cheese (Bee does not allow cheese in the early days), chicken or salmon (20g). I tend to eat herbs and spices with this meal or sauerkraut or sprouted seeds (5g carbs). I eat a total of 80g of fat from butter or meat fat and 30g of coconut oil. Occasionally I replace 15g of the butter with olive oil. I always have sea salt. Plus 50mg vitamin B Complex, 100mg Vitamin B1, 1000mg Vitamin C, 200mg Vitamin E > > My main meal is my evening meal and for that meal I tend to eat either beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck or fish (28g) with 80g of fat, usually a mix of butter and meat fat and 30g of coconut oil, plus one veg (5g carb), usually broccilli, cauliflower, cabbage, something like that, and sea salt. If I have not had much cheese or bone broth, I have approx 300mg calcium and 450mg Magnesium with this meal. I now have 1000mg with this meal because I no longer have the lemon drink. > > Throughout the day I have bone broth with added herbs and spices . I sometimes also have cider vinegar and another 1000mg Vitamin C. I drink water and the occasional cup of herbal tea or coffee > > If I do not get enough fat with a particular meal I take coconut oil capsules or eat butter off a spoon to make up for the difference. If I am hungry and I want something extra I eat more meat and fat, ratio 1g meat and 3.5g fat > > I am very boring with meals, I do not have any very good recipes, but others here do, and there are good recipes on Bees recipe forum > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Recipes_For_Candida_Healing/ > > We tend to eat smaller meals when we are using ketosis. This is because we naturally become less hungry. It can be hard in the early days to get all this fat down us. Do not worry if your ratios are a little out of wack in the early days, it is better to go slow and build up slowly towards the ideal ratios for eating > > > I sometimes make Bees egg drink, this is particularly good for digestion http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe167.php > > Love Joanne > >
