Guest guest
That is so interesting about the cheese. That is the only food I'm eating that I still crave. Big red flag there that I should have noticed. Oops. No more cheese for a while :-( I'll increase eggs, fat and meat to compensate. What do you think of a little (say 1/4 c. Sauteed onions)? Just trying to find something to put on my meat or eggs. Thanks yet again. I don't know how I'd do this without you! +AMDG+ Jean Sent from my Kindle Fire _____________________________________________ Sent: Tue Jun 19 13:23:50 CDT 2012 To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > Subject: Re: Am I eating correctly?/Jean Jean Generally Bee tells us to avoid cheese until we are well, and I did do so for 18 months. I have it now and I seem to be handling it well, I have not noticed any ill effect from it at all, except my weight loss has rapidly slowed down. On balance I have decided I am keeping it on my diet because by having it I have far more meal options and it helps me avoid the foods from plants, I do not have any addictive tendancies with cheese, but others on the GAPS board have in the past say they have intense craving for cheese, if I did I would not eat it. Also my cheese is always unpasturised and when ever it is possible I buy A2. I do not know if the theory regarding A1 and A2 is true or not, Bee says it is not, but the illnesses associated with A1 dairy are very common in my family, I do not have any of these illnesses but to be on the safe side I have chosen only to eat unpasturised A2 dairy, at least for now Everything else you are eating more or less matches what I do, the sauerkraut is defianately one of the better foods from plants, I do OK with all herbs and most spices too. I also am OK with cooked low starch veg in small amounts. Occasionally I loose ketosis because I have eaten too much food from plant sources, if this happens I either water fast the next day or go on very strict no carb until the cravings clear. I will get craving sensations immediately if I loose ketosis and this is the main way I know if I am in ketosis or not. Bee's diet is a lot stricter than these diets I am going to show you below, but I want you to see these research papers in relation to arthiritis, and how diets like this one can heal arthiritits. I know many people on these diets below, and those that have made their diet stricter like Bees are having the most success http://www.kickas.org/londondiet.shtml http://www.news-medical.net/news/20110520/Osteoarthritis-directly-linked-to-low-\ fat-high-carb-food.aspx http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/312937/New-hope-for-arthritis-cure-New-hope-\ for-arthritis-cure-New-hope-for-arthritis-cure-New-hope-for-arthritis-cure-New-h\ ope-for-arthritis-cure-New-hope-for-arthritis-cure Bees diet is better because the fats are more healing than the protein and over time using the fats in the way we do it concurs carb craving. I have spoken in some detail with the folk at the kickas site, the first diet mentioned here, the low starch diet, and like I mentioned earlier the more close to Bees instructions that these folk were following not only was their arthiritis better, and their candida better, most of them said that had had much trouble with candida, the folk that were strictly commited to the diet like we are here, had the most peace of mind and barely any trouble with craving. from what I saw with the others, they were eating coconut flour and lots of fruit and so on, these folk were more often complaining of carb addiction, PMS IBS and so on. This is of course my own opinion and observation but it was witnessing this that made me decide ketosis for life is the way for me This guy, , was on the kickas board at the same time as me, he emailed me direst and told me that in his view arthiritis can only be fully healed by following Bees program and although the low starch regime was very good he like me was having problems with the other carbs. I told him ketosis was the way for me but he said he was doing fine simply following Bees Candida diet My doctor has not diagnosed me a specific arthiritis since my inflammation is low but he said I do have some arthiritis in my sacroiliac joint. I may have it else were but I do not want the tests. My family have reative arthirtis and I have the same symptoms as them. Reactive Arthirtis can be genetic but none of us carry the gene normally associated with it. Reactive Arthiritis appears to be much more common after antibiotic use, at least this is my conclusion after talking to people that have it Whether it is arthiritis or not what I have my joint pain is down from a constant 8 to 10 out of 10 to a 1 to 3 out of 10, and it is usually 1 out of 10. It will only go up if I eat wrong, am exposed to toxicity, electromagnetism being the worse or I have emotional upset Hope this helps, keep asking questions because it really does help the newcomers here Love Joanne Hi all, After a few weeks, things are falling into a routine.
