Guest guest
Thank you for the info. How do they know that is is benign by just lookin at it? Do they treat you for the pain. Guest guest
Yes, we have heard of some strange liver problems, but since the liver is the clearinghouse for toxins, I guess that is not too surprising. Guest guest
Margie, If your doctors aren't calling you back or answering your questions, I'd find another doctor . . . Pick up all your records and take them with you! You shouldn't have to be retested. You deserve better care! Rogene
Guest guest
Rogene, the nurse called me back after I picked up a copy of my records that day. I had just read about the tumors on my records. The oncolgy doctor wants to se me about the neurological symptoms, speech problems and more difficult walking up stairs. I just don't want to repeat expensive cat scans and other tests if it is still the implant symptoms not MM. Thank you again margie From: Rogene S <saxony01@...>Reply- To: Subject: Re: benign tumorsDate: Mon, 31 Jul 2006 21:02:45 -0700 (PDT) Margie, If your doctors aren't calling you back or answering your questions, I'd find another doctor . . . Guest guest
Margie . . . Suggestion . . . You have the attention of the oncology doctor . . . Put together a package of messages from women who are having the same kinds of problems you are . . . drop these by the doctors office (or fax them to him) . . . and request that he call you after he's reviewed them. Then . . . talk to him about your concerns . . . additional tests, costs, similarity of your problems with other implanted women, needing implants out, etc . . . If he's convinced that your implants may be causing your problems, he may help you find a doctor who will remove your implants properly - hopefully under your insurance . . . Just keep the dialog open with him and see what he can do to help . . . If he can't then you can rethink what your choices are. Guest guest
Rogene, I had only seen this doctor 3 times during all the tests being done. The implant topic was not addressed at the time, didn't know it was the implants that made me sick at the time. My implants where removed without the capsules and would even be more difficult to convince him that implants have made me as sick as I am. I am just confused about the overlapping problems I have been having. Thanks Again Margie From: Rogene S <saxony01@...>Reply- To: Subject: Re: benign tumorsDate: Tue, 1 Aug 2006 07:23:22 -0700 (PDT) Margie . . . Suggestion . . . Guest guest
Margie, I know it's confusing . . . And when you have the problems that come with implant related illnesses, it's even more confusing because you have a problem organizing your thoughts - It's not YOU - it goes with implant problems. Your problems are so much like the other women that come here, it would be hard to deny a link. I'm copying your message to one of our silent sisters. She has a collection of letters I hope she'll send you a copy of. She's convinced her doctors with these letters. It doesn't really matter how many times you've seen this doctor. He has the results of your tests, he's concerned, and hopefully, he will be open to considering that your capsules may be the reason for your continued problems - and help you get them removed . . . The article we recently posted from Dr. Blais really should say it all! . . . We let doctors intimidate us way too often! . . . Don't let this doctor do that to you! . . . If he tries, you need another doctor. To get well, we really need a doctor who we can consider a partner in our health care. . . Oncologists, above all, (should) understand that! Just be upfront, honest, and speak from the heart. . . You'll soon find out where it goes from there. It's possible there is another cause, but, if it were me, I'd want to remove the capsules because they are likely contributing to your problems. . . until they're gone, you're not going to know if your problems are stemming from the capsules, or if there is a more serious issue going on. Guest guest
Oh Rogene, Thanks for just listening...i am sure this doctor won't be open to implant illnesses. He would barley hear out my symptoms when I first saw him. He took one look at me at first glance and said (what are you doing here, your not sick , you need to go back to your family doctor) That was before I made him do some tests. He sure got quiet when blood work showed other wise. Its so hard to figure out what is going on with me. Also, My husband STILL can't handle any medical conversation, this has been so hard to deal with alone. I have to act like nothing is wrong, cook his meals, work in the office and do any online research and saline support chating when he is not around. This is so hard for me to not have his support! Margie Thanks for all your support ladies! From: Rogene S <saxony01@...>Reply- To: Subject: Re: benign tumorsDate: Tue, 1 Aug 2006 08:15:03 -0700 (PDT) Margie, I know it's confusing . . . Guest guest
Margie . . . Please don't give up on this doctor . . . You've already shown him that you KNOW you have some issues . . . You have his ear now . . . Stay firm with him and challenge him to figure out what's wrong! . . . If you'll play to his ego (most doctors have a God-like image of themselves), he may feel he has to live up to that image. . . It's either that, or continue looking for someone who you feel more comfortable with and starting all over . . . Persistence pays! . . . Know that YOU are worth it! . . . you DESERVE it! . . . Nobody should be dissing you . . not even your husband! Talk to your husband in terms of how YOU FEEL when he says/does this or that. He probably has no idea what's going on with you. . . . Most people are receptive when someone addresses them that way . . . Avoid accusations, or telling him what HIS motivations are . . . You can ask . .. but don't tell! . . . You need his support to get better! He may be avoiding the issue because it scares him, and makes him feel helpless, when he sees you sick. Guest guest
Margie . . . I would avoid calling anything "implant illness" . . . as far as doctors are concerned, there is no such thing . . . However, there are symptoms . .. present the symptoms, show them that others with implants have these symptoms and that Dr. Blais has found bacteria/fungus/staph in the capsules and implants. Then let the doctor figure it out for him/herself! It doesn't matter what they name it! Rogene
