Kenda,

Was the mycoplasmal test an expensive test? And just curious, with all the natural remedies you've used, have you tried any type of mushroom extract, and if so, did you find them useful?

Kenda, What sort of test did you have to test you for Fibro? The only test that I know of is the Tender Point test.....unless your alternative doctor has a better or different test.....??freebindi <bindi@...> wrote: Kenda, Was the mycoplasmal test an expensive test? Bindi, Mycoplasma bacteria has reached the point it's nearly everywhere . . . Professor, Scientist and Researcher Garth Nicolson has a lot to say about the origin and treatment of mycoplasma bacteria. . . If you want to get the low down on it, do a websearch for "Garth Nicolson mycoplasma bacteria" . . . Truth is stranger than fiction! Professor Nicolson will answer personal questions . . . just keep in mind that he's a very busy man and don't pester him. Hi Bindi,

I don't recall the price of the test but don't recall it being that pricey.

Yes, I do take mushroom extracts. I start taking them about this time of

year, when colds and flus are common. It is good for the immune system.

Since taking it the last two winters, I have not been sick. The particular

product I take is usually prescribed to cancer patients by my ND.

Kenda, I thought that mushrooms were extremely bad if you have issues with Candida. They are nothing but fungus, I've read. The articles I've read said that, along with sugar, etc. to stay away from mushrooms because of the fungus. Leyna,

I don't know if mushrooms are to be avoided with candida. I hate mushrooms

so I don't eat them. I doubt the extract that is in the products I take

would be unhealthful.

Bindi,

I was under the impression that mycoplasma infections are very hard to test for. I can't say that I was tested in a bonafide way, but I do remember my homeopathic doctor doing a blood test in his office and then sending me home with a vial of homeopathic remedy pills for mycoplasma. Scared me! And he didn't tell me, the terd. He just gave it to me and I didn't see the words "mycoplasma" until I got home and looked at the bottle carefully. I ended up not taking them after I read those words, (basically because of the premise that homeopathic remedies are given under, if you understand that.)

That hematoma sounded nasty. I have not heard of too many women talking about a hematoma experience, so thanks for sharing that. I would not doubt that infection of some sort played a role in your illness, just as I think it did in mine, as I had hot, fevered breasts after implantation and got sick shortly thereafter. I have often been curious about the role that infection during surgery may play in our illnesses.

I think medicinal mushrooms can be of great value.

Are you getting tested?

Patty

Mycoplasmal infection

Anyone been tested for a mycoplasmal infection? I read recently that over half of people with fibro symptoms test positive for this virus. I am thinking to get tested just to see what comes up. One of the problems I had soon after getting implants was a hematoma (a large quantity of blood that collected in the capsule and under the skin), and after a week the surgeon had to go in and apirate a lot of smelly blood, about a pint! I got deathly ill about a month later, and I have always wondered if that in-office visit was what triggered it. I remember how he went in through one of the incisions and suctioned the blood out, and I was laying there, wondering if the instruments were sterilized. When I had my first battery pof blood tests, nothing came up to signal an infection, but I am still suspicious.

Mycoplasmal infections supposely damage the body's cells, reducing their ability to function. There is evidence that Gulf War Syndrome is caused by it, and it is also one of the deadliest secondary viruses that an HIV victim can contract. I have a good friend who died of it. I have read that medicinal mushrooms (reishi, shitake, maitake, cordyceps, etc) can be used to treat it. Anyone out there know more?
