Thanks

Yes, mine came within about a year or so and has been here since. (I was implanted in 97, so I've had the rash about 8 years.) I stay rashed on my chest, back, and cheeks. In the beginning, I thought it was eczema and went to a couple of dermatologists who could never solidly tell me what it was.

I have since found that if I go into the sun (even if I'm in a car), the rashes get brighter red -even using sunscreen. If I get in a tanning bed, I stay solid red for months. It looks like a sunburn, but isn't.

No...mine is a rash on my chest-it's just red, like a

sunburn. Some days it's a lot more noticeable than

others. I've had it for many years, not sure when it

began. It itches sometimes.

I have a couple of bumbs on my chest area (not often though) and just this past week or so, I have gotten similar looking bumps on my arms. The general area itches sometimes but not too much. I have my explant on August 21st. I can't wait!! Maybe a lot of this will clear up after. halvey70@... wrote: ... I have had something that sounds like this for several years on the backs of

Terri, I'm glad to hear you're getting treatment for the staph infection (Of course, i'm sorry to hear you have the infection) . . . It's not uncommon among implant women . . . in fact, Dr. Blais frequently finds staph organisms in the capsules and implants he examines. Be sure to follow an antifungal diet carefully while you're taking antibiotics . . . Antibiotics probably cause more systemic fungal/yeast/Candida problems than anything else! . . . Take Primal Defense, or Acidopholis (refrigerated only), and eat plain yogurt . . . Did your doctor culture a lesion to determine exactly which staph bacteria you have so you'd be taking the right antibiotic? The downside is that you're going to have to be really careful for a while . . . the upside is that by treating this infection, you may be taking care of other issues too. If, after all this is over, and you still suspect that you need to have the capsules removed, perhaps this doctor can refer you to a good surgeon! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

I developed a slightly raised, pinkish rash the first week AFTER

explant. I don't think it was surgical stuff or anything like that, as

it was all over my upper chest, and moved up to my neck and face. It

wasn't painful or itchy, just felt slightly tender.

Four days after explant I felt the need to treat for yeast ( as I was

crazy with the sugar, chocolate and even craved all the yeast-feeding

fruits and vegetables) and started an aggressive detox.

It could have been a reaction to yeast treatment, or die off, or the

yeast infection. It could have been anesthesia. Who knows.

I still feel a little bumpy after two weeks and two days, but it has

improved. My face, which got the rash last, does not feel smooth yet.

Don't know if it is realted to what you are all talking about, but I

wanted to put it out there.

Mine gets worse after being in the sun as well. That is why I thought it was some kind of heat rash. On the weekends we go out on our boat and sure enough, after being out in the sun, they get much worse. I have not tried to put anything on them. Some suggestions for the rash . . . Bathing with food grade hydrogen peroxide - this will kill surface bacteria. Bathing with Espom salts . . . this will pull toxins from your skin. In either case, if your skin starts burning, get out and rinse with clean water. (you can combine Espom salts and hydrogen peroxide in one bath). Use virgin coconut oil like you would a skin lotion . . . coconut oil kills fungal organisms. Use it sparingly . .. you'll feel oily for about fifteen minutes. . . If you still feel oily, wipe the excess away. You skin will feel wonderfully silky. The rash should improve in appearance . . . It's unlikely to clear up quickly. . . especially if you have an internal source of toxins. Rogene funx2sweet <funx2sweet@...> wrote: Mine gets worse after being in the sun as well. Dawn, I'm curious . . . Do you know if your doctor was able to remove your implants successfully en bloc? . . . Or did he/she do a capsulectomy? I'm wondering if they did a capsulectomy and there was a spill tha dumped fungal organisms into your system, creating your desire for fungal-feeding foods? I'm glad you're on top of it! . . . Step by step, we'll all get through this! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

It was Dr. Melmed. I assumed he just did a capsulectomy, as he doesn't

always remove straight en bloc, right? Plus I only have an areolar

incision.

The implants were intact, and he said he got the whole caposule out, as

they were paper thin after being in only 1 year.

All the cravings I had were from BEFORE surgery. Once I had surgery, I

immediately began eating well, even though not on the yeast diet. My

first meal after surgery was plain chicken, steamed greem beans and

mashed potatoes. I never had anything but water after I left the

hospital. I did have a little " Hershy issue " on the drive home, but we

had a 20 hour drive and I got a little bored.

Dr. Melmed said he noted that one seal was sliced open, like

accidentally cut by a scalpel. Dr. Melmed said he found it like that.

The seal was intact, just the little rubber outer strip is sliced in half.

I am sending my implants to Dr. Blaise today.

FYI -- I am about 3 weeks post implant. I can't believe it is only

that! The good news is that my body pain, aside from my yeast herx, is

down about 75 %. It took two weeks, but I think my heart issues are

evening out a little. I was getting dizzy with a high heart rate when I

stood up for the first few weeks. Pus I continued with the palpitations.

That is abating. (In case anyone who doesn't know my story is reading

-- yes I do have a cardiologist.)

Neck range of motion -- back to NORMAL!! Muscle twitches -- reducing by

about 1/2. Joint pain -- reduced about 50%. My knees are still

problems, but it feels like a posterior tendon inflammation not internal

joint pain like it was. Body stiffness -- reduced by about 75%. I

think a lot of what is left is due to inactivity from being sick and I

just need to start stretching.

Brain fog -- reducing -- but that could also be from yeast treatment.

I am so glad I wasted no time after realizing the connection. My

implants were in only 1 year and two weeks.

Downside -- I was really downsized! The cute swelling is gone, and

although my breasts are a nice shape, I didn't seem to get any of that

extra size you sometimes hear about. I am definitely an AA or A cup at

this point. I can't imagine suddenly getting more size as my breasts

continue to change. If anyone knows otherwise, let me know!

It's rather an...athletic look!

Hi Dawn,

This is not the kind of rash I had. But yours is " interesting " . I

wonder if it was your immune system at work.

Our immune systems get all stirred up during this surgery.

Glad to know it is better now.
