One plastic surgeon told me, to my face, that he made money putting implants in and he made money taking them out . . . and that he didn't give a d*** what they did. He didn't believe women got sick from implants either . . . but from the talc on the gloves of the doctors who put the implants in . . . His wife had a bad case of scleroderma . . . She divorced him after she caught him messing around . . . Apparently he didn't give a d*** about her either! . . . Inch by inch he made his own hell that he has to live in! Someone who worked around him kept me updated! . . . They must have modeled Nip/Tuck after this guy! Rogene

May I ask what kind of blood tests they are doing for you. Is it something to test for the bacteria?

His wife is actually fine so far with her implants, I am sure they are thinking

Why would someone pay big money to have implants and than have them taken out

They do remember me calling them up all the time and hearing me say I am in agony.

My ps and his wife recall me saying I had a crawling feeling like worms in my knees

I bet she is wondering in the back of her mind now, as I let them know the shell is made out of silicone

That they need to pay attention as they may need me one day ..... or maybe end up in here !!!!

I told them I am talking live to woman who are having health problems now and it's silicone related

MY PS nd his wife do not believe the capsule and scar tissue harbor bacteria

They are willing to take it out for me, I just want it done correctly

My doctors are just waiting for the results of some blood tests

requested by Dr.Kolb and one other test that I requested

My Plastic Surgeon is well known as the best plastic surgeon in our area

His wife has implants to...This will be very interesting, as she also knows

I was very skinny before the implants and my body blew up after...

I believe I am their first case of rejected implants

I know her implants have been in for more than six years

Trust me if something like this ever happened to his wife

This issue of safe implants may have a whole new outlook!!!

They had told me not to believe any of the stories on the internet

Well now I am his patient and living proof of medical failure

I just do not know if the capsule and scar tissue is what is causing me to hardly move my legs

I have terrible pain where the crawly feeling was in my knees I can walk better after implant removal

The crawly feeling dissapated after breast explantation but inside my knees still hurt very badly

Thank God . . . Your plastic surgeon is taking your situation seriously - FINALLY.

I suspect that his wife is beginning to have problems and he's very concerned!

Maybe this is what it's going to take - Surgeons seeing someone near and dear to them suffer!

What a price to pay!

Welcome . . . I don't hink you've posted before! . . . If you've been through the implant experience, you've found a place where we understand what you've been through and want to help you get well. We learn a lot from each other . . . and provide a safe place where we can vent! . . . The tests we're talking about on the capsules (scar tissue) is done by Dr. Blais in Canada. He's an implant expert, examing thousands of them. . . He's found all kinds of bad organisms in the capsules and implants! . . . I'll leave the question about blood tests to the other ladies. my knees hurt real bad...like I'm 90 ! I have a had time getting up when I squat down...also my lower back hurts alot. I have that feeling in my legs as well.....does it get better after explant ? karen
