Guest guest
I would very much like to meet other folks with PLS. However, living in the wilds of Hamilton, Montana I doubt if there is anyone anywhere in this part of the country. My wife and I are planning a trip to Arizona the first two weeks in February and was wondering if there is anyone along or near the route we will be traveling that would like to meet with us. We will be pretty much following US 93 through Twin Falls, ID, Las Vegas, and on to Phoenix and Tucson to visit friends. Depending on the weather, we could also jog over to I-15 through Salt Lake City either to or from Las Vegas if there is anyone in that vicinity. We presently don't have a fixed itinerary and are quite flexible in our plans. I have been corresponding and following activities on this site and PLSpals since last May and have given a history of my condition and have commented on many different subjects that have been brought up. However, if you are like me, you delete most messages after reading them so I offer the following brief summary. I am 68 years old and have had PLS symptoms for over nine years, but was just diagnosed four years ago. It started in my left foot and progressed to the right. Then it affected my hands and arms. Last to be affected was my voice and swallowing. I presently use a motorized wheelchair. I can still speak, although my speech is slow and not in my normal voice. If anyone is interested you may contact me at my E-mail address instead of this site if you wish. Your fellow PLSer,........
