Guest guest
Jeanine, I am so sorry to hear that you are still sick and haven't been able to get those implants out! I was under the impression that Dr. Kolb works hard to get insurance to cover it...I know she has been able to help others get covered. My insurance paid for my removal.. It shocked and pleased me when the explanting doctor called and said it was approved. I could not get those things out fast enough! So, I know sometimes they pay...mine was approved before explant, and some women have had insurance approve after explant and analysis of the implants that show they were contaminated with organisms. I don't think that Medicaid will pay for removal, but I could be wrong. Others may know more than I do about that. But you need to get those implants out girlfriend! While the doctors you mentioned were ones we found we could trust, I believe there are other doctors out there. They just are not making themselves known very well. Could you ever imagine a plastic surgeon advertising that they remove implants properly? Oh how I wish they would start advertising that! But it isn't very likely is it? So, finding a good explanting surgeon is like going on safari. We have to hunt them down! You may find someone near you who can do it, but be very prepared to question them diligently about their experience, their procedures, and make sure they understand you can't afford to compromise when it comes to proper removal. What progess have you made toward getting explanted? Re: Silicone rupture and explant I have those seeing problems too, but I also have brain fog very bad,it's so scary. My stupid doctocs look at me as if I'm nuts. I run alow grade temperature which makes this much worse. I can't think, it'like my brain is swollen. I don't understand myself. It's hard to finda doctor to take implants out. This is my 10th pair in 22 years. Heknows how to put them in but, the ladies here in Saline Supportgroups (DOT) com say only 3 doctors are safe, Dr Kolb, Dr Feng and DrMelmed. I tried last year to have doctor Kolb to remove mine while Ihad good insurance,BCBS with the lady telling me that they would pay. Dr Kolb wanted that in writing. I don't think any insurance everpromises on paper what they will pay for in advance. I still have myimplants and very sick. I'm wondering if Medicaid will pay for removal.Jeanine--- In @ groups. com, "pm_morrell" <morrellpam@ ...>wrote:>> Hi! My name is Pam and I am new to the group.
