Guest guest
Having lived with years of muscle spasms, I've spent the past 25 years having them, learning about them and mastering them. When muscle spasms or cramps happen, we can regain voluntary control over the muscles through the most natural means of pandiculating out the offending signal. Here's a couple of posts I wrote about on spasms. http://gravitywerks.com/3400/muscle-spasms/ http://gravitywerks.com/2769/why-does-my-calf-hurt-so-much-when-i-stretch-it-aft\ er-waking-up/ Some people are going to advocate stretching which actually causes the muscles to re-contract to its set point. Neurologically, when we stretch a muscle or pull it beyond its set point, which doesn't take much if it is already contracting at a high rate of tension, the stretch reflex kicks in and the area will re-contract. This is what we experience as a spasm. Since 1680, the founder of clinical medicine, Herman Boerhaave noted pandiculations bring the muscles to rest. This very act, when done with conscious awareness, allows us to reset and reprogram our muscles response, ie it quiets them down. Today, pandiculations are at the heart of somatics exercises, where we use the brain to get the muscles back under voluntary control so we can move easy. Ed - Hanna Somatic Educator P.S. Below is an excerpt from my website where people learn for free how to pandiculate. Below that is a comment someone just posted a couple of hours ago: If we move with such force that we get a spasm... move less. Mastering a spasm comes with practice... and I'll have more to say on that soon. Baby steps first to discover how powerful the brain really is. Keep re-programming the brain... and in as little as 5 minutes you're good to go. COMMENTS Dotty said: I've had a more than an average stressful life. As result, my muscles are always tight and painful. I mean constantly. For the last 20 years I've been going to a chiropractor. I can't believe that I came across this site. It all makes so much sense to me. Thank You so much and God bless you for trying to help so many people. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have some stranges things going on in my body.
