Guest guest
That's a great point, Barry. If you look at the progression of the Merk Manual's opinion of the average american diet and its effects on the digestive system, you can see that they have determined that we all have a serious disorder in our digestive system by the time we are 40, even if we don't have symptoms. One common disorder they talk about is diverticulosis. Diverticulosis is the creation of herniated sacks extending from the colon filled with fecal matter. It is very difficult to get that fecal matter back out of those sacks unless you eat something like clay or charcoal to suck it out. A high fiber diet only cleans out the colon and doesn't get to the stuff in the sacks. Very old material is held in those sacks and is slowly getting into our blood stream, causing a myriad of problems. The Merk Manual used to assume that 15% of americans had diverticulosis by the time they were 40 back in the early 1950s. That has progressed to the lastest edition saying that 100% of americans have diverticulosis by the age of 40 in the 1990s. That's just one example of expressing the state of our digestive tract in this day and age of processed foods. The growing number of digestive tract surgeries is another. This trend indicates that we all need regular flushing and cleansing whether we show specific symptoms or not. Personally, I've found a morning drink with apple juice, flax oil, garlic, ginger and cayenne is quite delicious, and plain apple juice just doesn't satisfy like it used to. > This is to encourage the family to get involved in cleansing liver. > > > Since I have been cleansing for 6 weeks, my wife finally got curious > and decided to try one too.
